16 - Visting Parents

A/n - I decided to give Y/n's parents some names so I don't end up calling them just "Your dad" or "Your mom". Also, F/n for father name kinda sounds confusing to me, because I know some authors use that for the reader's first name.

Anyway, your dad's name is Kenji (meaning strong) and your mom's name is Honoka (meaning harmony flower).

Right when summer break started, you had to go home to visit your mom and dad. You'd get weekly calls from your family, but your dad wanted you to come home.

Luckily, your trip home didn't interfere with the Okinawa trip. The Okinawa Trip was a good week after summer break starts.

You changed into some pants and a white button-down shirt. You wanted to be casual, but also you knew that if your father were to see you wearing "lazy" clothing outside, he would reprimand you. You also decided to wear a sun hat to give you some protection from the sun when traveling later.

You packed a small handbag of any essential things you needed, like a snack or water. Also your small power source of magical energy. You never leave your dorm without it.

You told Karma, Nagisa, and Sugino that you were going to be gone for the next couple of days to go visit your family. Karma jokingly said that he wanted to go with you, but you knew that wasn't going to happen.

To keep in touch, Nagisa gave you his phone number. You were surprised that after all this time, you still haven't gotten his number. You had already gotten Karma's, but he was really the only person you had. Maybe it's because you hung around Nagisa frequently that you never really needed his number.

You left around the afternoon and rode on your broom through the leyline to get out of the school's property. The leyline ride took about 30 minutes. You've been through the leyline many times with your friends, but this time it felt so much longer. Guess it's true when they say time flies fast when you're having fun.

When you made it through the leyline, you saw one of your dad's servants waiting outside. His surname was Kondo.

"Hello, young master," Kondo said. "It has been a while."

You almost cringed at the title. It has been a while since anyone called you that. "It has," You replied. "Please, you can just call me Miss Y/n."

"We shouldn't be calling you that in public now."

You nodded. "Ah, of course."

The next 2 hours were mainly silent, just like the beginning of your trip to Kunugigaoka. Your escort was just doing his job, making sure that you got home safely and identity a secret, and you were just doing your own thing. But this time, you were talking to Karma and Nagisa through a group chat.

Eventually, that group chat of just you, Karma, and Nagisa, grew into most of your classmates. Nagisa added Sugino and Kayano, Sugino added Isogai while Kayano added Kanzaki and Okuda. Then Isogai added Kataoka and Maehara, and Maehara added Nakamura and Okajima... so on so forth.

You updated them that you were visiting your parents and are currently on a train ride home. After that, everyone started talking about what they should do during the Okinawa trip and what they should wear.

You were probably going to wear a t-shirt and pants, but you could think about that later. Maybe go look around and shop with Karma.

Kondo did ask you what you were doing 1 or 2 times during the whole trip. You were so engrossed in talking to your friends that you probably looked like one of those kids who are addicted to technology.
