Chapter 17

Army's pov:

I brushed of the weird attention and put my focus back on Aloha, he led me to a small breakfast place. It had multiple tables outside with neatly placed menus and alongside it was a small chalkboard that sat by the restaurant door, it had writing on it telling you the specials they had for the day. Aloha walked inside and I followed after, the bell ringing over the door as we entered. There was an tall octoling boy at the counter leaning over the counter head in hand looking as bored as ever, he quickly sprung up at the sound of the bell.

We walked by and claimed our table, table 9. I glanced at the paper menu that was placed on our table it had multiple breakfast options on it, I leaned by head on my hand and examined the different options. I was to indulged in the menu I had no idea Aloha was staring at me, I finally looked up and exchanging eye contact with him. That went on for a few seconds then it just became awkward so I looked back at the menu deciding if I wanted the regular breakfast or a toasted cheese and ham sandwich.

The waiter finally broke the awkward tension between us, "Hello, are you two ready to order yet?" They said in a overly positive tone. "Yeah I'll have a breakfast bagel and a orange juice" Aloha said, The waiter scribbled something down on a small notepad and brought his attention to me "And you?" "Oh yeah I'll have a coffee and eggs and bacon, please." I answered. "And will that be all?" They said with eagerly looking up from their notebook.
"Yeah we'll be fine" Aloha spoke out. The waiter walked away and we where back to awkward silence thing.

Aloha started scrolling through his phone and I stared at the small indent in the table that read "9" I looked back up at Aloha he was still on his phone. I decided to check my phone since I hadn't in a while I checked my notifications, there was one from B-Sailor and a few from the S4 groupchat. I clicked on the one from B purposely avoiding the one from our groupchat, it read "Hey army! Hope you are doing okay forge says she misses you❤" I smiled at the message and responded with "tell her I miss her too, haha" I clicked away from the contact and clicked on the groupchat.

Aloha: Wassup dudes

Skull: nothing much

Mask: hows food shopping going then?

Skull: cant find clothes only soup

Aloha: what?

I chuckled a little in relief it wasn't something bad, My attention was now brought to the the plates with our food on the table... guess I was distracted. Aloha stared at me "You gonna eat?" I was slightly suprised by him talking to me after being silent for so long I thought he purposely ignoring me or something. "Oh yeah sorry I was distracted..." I apologised and looked at my food I picked up a fork that was wrapped up in a little napkin and stabbed my egg.

After eating Aloha looked up at me "Oh yeah um rider says we should meet up at the plaza to do some more training next Monday" "Sounds good" I said while putting wiping my face with a napkin. The waiter took our food and we finally left, the town looked more lively then when we arrived. We walked over to Aloha's car and drove back to his place.
