Severa grinned and quickly wrote a note back to Zett. Attaching the note on Valorant's leg, she propelled her arm in the air, and the falcon flew off into the distance, disappearing into the thick canopy. Breathing out, the mercenary made her way towards the kingdom gate. She sighed and made her ears and tail disappear. Her hair soon turned dark brown as well as her eyes. Severa then took out a vial of vampire blood, given to her by the Lycan Banes, and dumped it on her head to mask her werewolf smell.

Dropping the vial, she gripped the stone bricks in front of her and started scaling the wall like a ladder. Once on top of the wall, she scouted out the area, watching the guards' every move. Severa growled and jumped down from the wall, thankfully landing behind a market stall. The mercenary huffed out a sigh, stood up, and brushed off the dirt from her skirt.

"I assume that overgrown mosquito is in the castle right now," Severa said to herself, "Don't want to cause a commotion, so I better do this quickly and quietly."

Severa came from behind the stall and started making her way towards the castle's entrance. Seeing two town guards posted by the gate, she grinned and walked up to them with a concerned look.

"Guards, come quick! I saw a werewolf near the eastern gate!" Severa cried dramatically.

"What?! How were they even able to scale the wall?" asked one of the guards.

"Take us to it!" ordered the other guard.

Severa nodded and ran ahead of the guards. She ducked down behind the alley near the eastern gate and hid in the shadows. She grinned like an imp when the guards finally came.

"Where did she go?" asked one of the guards.

"Never mind that! Where's the werewolf!?" asked the other guard.

Severa let the beast inside take hold and let out a low, deep growl. To the vampires, it was a blur of silver until they saw razor-sharp fangs dig into their necks. Severa tore off the heads of one of the guards before glaring at the other guard with red-stained fangs.

"Stay back, you beast!" the guard cried.

Severa growled and pounced on the guard without hesitation. The overgrown wolf ripped off the head of the guard and feasted on the remains. The wolf licked her red lips before turning back into her human form.

"Ah... A feast before a kill," Severa sighed, "Hm, it didn't fill me up, however. No matter, if anyone stands in my way, I'll have leftovers for myself."

Severa piled up the remains and set them ablaze, the flames reflecting off her emotionless eyes. The mercenary walked away from the scene and started making her way back to the castle to complete her mission. While walking around, Severa felt eyes all over her. Looking to her side, she saw a man and a woman looking at her with disgusted looks on their faces.

"Is there a problem?" she asked bluntly.

The woman gasped in offense and tilted her head upwards.

"Well, I never!" she said.

She took her husband by the arm and walked away.

"Vampires..." Severa mumbled.

When she arrived at the castle, Severa sighed with a grin. The gates were left defenseless and unguarded.

"God must be on my side." Severa grinned, flipping her brown locks.

The mercenary walked inside the dark castle, not knowing what awaits her. The halls were lined with crimson carpets and dark stone pillars; golden, candle-lit chandeliers hung from the high arched ceilings.

"Talk about drab and dreary," Severa mumbled, "The caves back at home have better interior designs."

The young wolf was soon met with a grand staircase, the stairs lined with marble and metal railings.

"Where are you, you overgrown mosquito...?" Severa asked herself.

Severa's ears twitched to the sound of humming. Looking up, she saw a silhouette of a tall man with a candle in hand; not even his features could be seen in the small flame. Severa quickly hid behind a pillar to not be seen by this mysterious host. The man must have noticed her, otherwise, he wouldn't have ascended the stairs. The mercenary watched as he climbed the steps, the flickering flame disappearing behind a wall.

"Yeah, he saw me..." Severa said.

The mercenary growled under her breath and came from behind the pillar. Ensuring no one was in sight, Severa scaled the carpet-lined steps, quietly following the dim light in front of her. Severa watched instinctively as the small flame turned down a corner. Peering her head around the corner, she watched the silhouette duck into a room. The mercenary extended her claws and scratched the wooded wall, leaving long marks against the wood.

"It's now or never..." Severa growled.
