16-It Was Worth It

I don't know why! But I'm having a very difficult choice on getting that dress! I been staring at it for quite some time and I'm wondering if I should just purchase it now. I'm currently at the mall and been in this store for Thor knows how long. And I'm with Andrea.

"You've been eyeing that dress for so long now! Get it!"Andrea exclaimed"the price ain't so bad!".

"I don't know! I just can't decide yet!"I spat, as I walk out of the store and sat down on a bench.

"Look Astrid, next month will be busy and that dress"She pointed"will not be there tomorrow".

"How would I even know if it fits me?!"I question, glancing around my body.

"Trust me Astrid it will! Don't be thinking about that. Just think about that moment"She praises with her hands.

"Well...I do wanna go to the prom"I mutter, glancing back at the dress.

"There you go! That's one of the good reasons right?!"Andrea says, cheerfully"with him, I presume".

I look at Andrea as she teases"I uhhh y-y-yeah".

"Cute"Andrea giggles, then she sit next to me"Just buy it. It will be worth it".

We both then got up from the bench and walk back to the store, I was very motivated to just buy the dress and doesn't matter how much it cost, I saved enough money to least get a dress.

We enter the store, walk back to the area of where that dress was but suddenly I don't see it anywhere.

"Umm where did it go?"I said, quickly looking around.

"What?! It was just there?!"Andrea gasp, then she point out to the person who bought it"oh my gosh! She has it".

"Noooo"I slight scream, and ran out of the store.

"Astrid wait! We can find another one-"

I turn back to Andrea"I know but it's gonna be hard to find another dress, that was a perfect dress for em and I can't believe it's gone!".

Andrea then place her hand on my shoulder"Astrid, don't worry, we'll find another dress that's even better than that. Trust me. We will find you that prom dress".

I then inhale heavily and exhale, look over at the store to see that woman bought that dress"hmm, I guess you're right. We will find that prom dress".

"That's the spirit!"Andrea says, cheerfully.

We both got up and trail off to the food court as we thought about finding that prom dance. Andrea was constantly looking around to see if any dress on display match me.

I never knew Andrea can be a caring friend, well she is Hiccup's cousin from his Mother's side. I trust her.

"Hey Andrea, maybe the next day we can go dress shopping again, we have a lot of time to do that"I said, convincingly.

Andrea blinks"hmm I guess you're right! But I'm not giving up on you now. I'll let you know if I spot one whenever I'm out and about".

"Aww thanks! I really appreciate for you doing this, but you don't have to?-"

"Oh nonsense! I would want my cousin to be standing next to a beautiful, fearless, bada$$ woman!"She giggles.

"We're talking about Hiccup right?"I laughed.

"Oh absolutely!"She laughs.

Later on I was at home on my MacBook, just doing a little studying for one of my classes. Plus on the side I'm still looking for dresses, it's kind of silly for me to find the perfect dress but I'm confident enough to search one.

Couldn't be more complicated for a guy to find a perfect tuxedo. I then lean against the chair and yawn and look up at my wall of pictures of my friends and family. I smiled at them looking and remembering the memories I have with everyone, especially with Hiccup.

Until suddenly I heard a video call from my MacBook and saw his name. I chuckled that he must be thinking about me too, I press accept call and saw Hiccup waving.

"Hey Astrid!"He greets.

"Miss me?"I laugh and wave back at him.

"Uuuh I was just checking up on you!!"He chuckles nervously, as I saw him making a goofing expression.

"Oh relax! What's up?".

"I just finished the chemistry assignment and I don't know what to do right now besides heading bed early. But I can't seem to sleep. What are you doing?".He said, scratching his head.

"Oh I'm just online shopping right now, looking at dresses "I said, as I rest my chin on my hand.

"Oh that's nice. For prom I bet"He chuckles.

"Yeah! Me & Andrea went to the mall earlier today, we couldn't find anything good. Well I'm very picky but it's me"I sarcastically wave my hand around like a lunatic would do.

"Oh I'm sure you'll find one. Make my eyes locked you"He tease.

I rolled my eyes and couldn't help but to smile"oh shut up!".

"Well, I better get going! Good luck with the dress hunting. Good night!"He waves.

"Night Hiccup!"I wave back and we both hang up.

I still couldn't help but to smile as he makes me feel better that boy. I decided to close my laptop and call it a night. Place my laptop on the desk and get on with my jammies and get snuggled in my cozy bed.

Went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. While I was brushing, my Mom called up.

"Astrid! Your friend Andrea is here!"She called out from downstairs.

I then spit and finish off"coming!".

I then make my way downstairs to the front saw my Mother standing as I saw her expression which she couldn't help but to smile. I look out and saw Andrea smiling away with something she is holding that appears to be a clothing hanger bag.

"You didn't?!?"I gasp, as I hold the dress"how?!?!".

"I did a lot of convincing, but don't you worry about it! Just wait until you see his face!"She squeal.

"Oh my gosh! Andrea you're the best!!"I ran up to her for a tight hug.

"Oh you're welcome Astrid!"She said back.
