We finished our day and picnic on the beach with a quick skinny dip to wash the majority of sand off of us. We didn't have much of an option since I tore Steffy's top to shreds. Steffy insisted that I drop my shorts and go into the water with her.
"Fair is fair," she reminds slightly taunting me.
It doesn't take too much convincing for me to join her.
We pick up the picnic basket items and I wrap Steffy up in one of the towels so we could walk back up the house. She leans into the side of me and I wrap my arm around her. "Today was a really great day." She smiles and looks up to me. "Honestly the last almost 24 hours has been amazing."
I kiss her head. "I'm going to be hurting tomorrow," I confess. I quickly think about how many times it's been since last night. I sigh, at the number and then the memories of today.
"Come on, you should be used to this. Didn't you say before the accident we had a very active sex life?" Steffy inquires.
"I did, but this is different. Don't get me wrong we've made love multiple times in a day a lot, but this just feels different. It's like we've come back together. Plus, we usually didn't go days at a time without making love."
"Was it worth it? The wait?"
"You are worth the wait. I'd wait an eternity for you if it came to that. There are no words to describe how I feel about what's happened since last night."
She looks over at me and smiles while letting out a chuckle. "And think about it, the day isn't even over yet. We still have a bit of time before the kids come back, and who is to say that we can't still have fun while they are here?"
I bite my lip. "No one. You are a naughty little girl, Steffy."
She turns to face me and brings her lips up to my ear. "Guess you will just have to punish me then."
She has no idea how badly I want to punish her, at least in the bedroom.
I let the comment go. "So, we still have a couple hours before the kids come home, do you want to take a shower, clean up and then we can watch one of our Bob Hope movies?"
"Sounds good," she smiles.

I take the DVD out of the DVD player. "I haven't seen that one in awhile. It's been quite a while since we watched Bob Hope." It was nice to have a good laugh with Steffy. I have had a good laugh with her since I can't even remember.
"That one never gets old. I feel like I laugh just as hard every time as the last time I watched it. He's just so great. They don't make comedy like him anymore."
"Definitely not," I say filling our wine glasses up. I hand her glass. "I think we deserve this from the day we had."
"Thank you," she says. She brings her glass up, "To us, may we always have our happily ever after."
"I'll drink to that," I say as we clink our glasses.
"When is the countdown until we have to come out of our bubble and come back to reality?" Steffy asks clearly referring to the kids.
"About an hour or so," I reply. "I should actually text him to find out when he's going to be here." I sigh, "Honestly, I should probably start dinner. Do you have a preference?" I ask Steffy.
