Everyone's location at the building was highlighted for me. And the conversations being discussed throughout the four individual tasks. Nothing more could be done than wait for something bad to happen or for the go-ahead to take a trip to the Triskelion ourselves.

"You knew exactly what you were doing bringing me out here. Didn't you?" I asked Fury, needing conversation to fill the wait period. "Of course I did. Just like I said you're a part of something much bigger than you realize."

"This is a lot bigger than I had imagined." I laughed out, thinking that taking down shield wasn't even an imaginable idea days ago.

"Well I believe I did make up for this mess I put you in."

"Oh, did you?"

"Yes. Without you coming to shield you'd still be too afraid to talk to Natasha. Now from the looks of it you two are talking now."

"We're far past the talking stage. More into the dating part."

"How's Clint going to take that one? His best friend is dating his dead sister.."

"Maybe I can call him after the internet breaks news of 'Hawkeyes little sister, responsible for countless world leader assassinations, under the alias of Miss Fate.' Then he'll at least have a good reason to yell at me."

"He doesn't have a clean record himself. But you're right the world will know what shield has kept under wraps. Same goes for Natasha. You guys will have each other though, and that's more than anyone can ask. While the world goes crazy with this information, you guys can have what little freedom there will be."

Fury was right. Someone like Maria or Steve wouldn't have anyone to rely on after all our information got leaked. But Natasha and I? We at least had each other to rely on and we know how to hide ourselves in plain sight. If she was up for it, we could even have the liberty of living a normal life before another problem found its way to us.

I turned my attention back onto the laptop screen where three dots were in the control room, while a single one was being brought to a room. The first sign of successful breach was the security camera feed sent to the laptop by Maria. Which I quickly thanked her for sending. What followed was Steve's voice. Fury turned his laptop to me where he'd also had camera footage pulled up. His was off Steve on the PA system.

"Shield is not what we thought it was, it's been taken over by Hydra. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The STRIKE and Insight crew are Hydra as well."

No one's comms were active other than Steves. Which worried me when Natasha was in a room with the very person Steve was accusing. I ran up the footage of Pierce's office where her and the other council members stood confused at the information being spoken.

"They almost have what they want: Absolute control. They shot Nick Fury and it won't end there. If you launch those Helicarriers today, Hydra will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way, unless we stop them."

What Steve was asking was clear. Anyone in that control room who wasn't a part of Hydra needed to stop the launch. How many people that would really be, we had no clue.

"Did you write that down first, or was it off the top of your head?" Sam questioned, which echoed into the comms. In a serious situation it was good to know Sam could take my place on humor patrol.

"Looks like shits about to go down in the council room." I said, grabbing fury's attention to the camera footage on display. It looked like one of the council members was confronting him. "Well that's not good." Fury noted, as a couple of Hydra agents made their grand entrance. The poor council was defenseless other than Natasha but she had yet to break out of character.
