"A few years ago I was in an arranged marriage to the princess of another kingdom. The marriage was part of a deal to help make our kingdoms stronger as one, but things didn't go as planned. We tried to make the best of the situation but I didn't really love her and she lied about loving me. We had a grand ball one evening to celebrate the joining of our kingdoms, I was busy talking the king and advisers from her kingdom for most of the evening but when I went looking for my fiancé I found her with another man. By being with another man she has broken the terms of the agreement between our kingdoms. Then the fighting began since she'd broken the agreement something had to he done, eventually things were settled the marriage was off and so was the alliance of the two kingdoms after that my parents avoided me for a long time." I paused sighing and looking at Eren to see his reaction he seemed to be thinking about something then he spoke "what happened to her? The girl you were gonna marry," my eyes widened I wasn't expecting him to ask that. Nevertheless I'll answer his question " after a year or to she married to a prince from another kingdom, she got pregnant and died during child birth. She was queen Petra for only a short while before she passed" Eren seems shocked by my words but doesn't say anything else. Someone knocks on the door a few minutes later and I get up to answer it, it's a maid telling us lunch will be ready soon I thank her and send her away.
