Levi tells me it's time to head down for lunch, I nod and get up to walk with him to the dining hall. We walk in a comfortable silence side by side and I think about what Levi told me, I was shocked by the story but what Hange had said made more sense now and I was glad he shared it with me. We walked down the stairs and to the dining hall door where we see Hange and Armin waiting for us. They're talking quietly when we get to them and turn to greet us, we greet them back and walk into the hall for lunch. We make small talk and enjoy our meal I was zoned out until I hear Hange ask about gifts for the Christmas masquerade ball. My head shoots up with a confused look searching for the answer to my question. Hange starts to speak "I can't believe Levi hasn't told you yet the Christmas masquerade ball is a tradition where we all give gifts, dance, and dress up and since Levi has you now he'll present you to all the other royals attending it's basically his chance to show you off and spoil you with gifts to show his wealth and good fortune" she ands her explanation smiling and searching for my reaction my eyes are wide and look over to Levi he just sighs and I start to speak " so we all give gifts and the other kingdoms will attend as well?" Hange nods and continues eating. I look down at my food a million thoughts in my head at once. Levi's supposed to show me off to the other kingdoms but I'm just a village boy there's nothing special about me? I sigh quietly and go back to eating wondering what this Christmas tradition would bring.
