What to wear?

3rd persons pov
At breakfast the next morning Hanji was babbling on about the ball and how beautiful it would be, eventually she landed on the topic of attire. Continuing to discuss the topic one sidedly before looking at Eren and asking "what are you gonna wear?" Eren looked up at her, he hadn't really thought about it yet but before he could answer Hanji spoke again " has Levi shown you any of the royal jewels yet? I've heard it's tradition that your mate picks a special item for you to wear" Eren shook his head slowly as she concluded her questioning taking a moment before speaking " I haven't really thought about what to wear and no he hasn't. Is he really supposed to pick something for me though?" Eren quizzed. Levi was the one to answer now looking rather annoyed at the whole situation " the maids will fit you for something later this evening they will handle that and as for your question yes I will be surprising you with an accessory to wear the evening of the ball it's meant to symbolize our unity as mates in place of a claim mark." He spoke evenly sounding monotone and bored though the look in his face contrasted his cold words.

Erens pov
As Levi finished speaking a thought came to my mind, Levi and I hadn't discussed claim marks yet which is strange bc I already promised to be his mate shouldn't we have finished the bonding process to become official mates already? I made a mental note to ask Levi about it later before going back to eating tuning out the rest of the conversation.

Levi's pov
Sometimes I swear I could kill Hanji for bringing up stupid topics like this, I haven't discussed claim marks with Eren yet I'm waiting for the right time he deserves something as perfect as he is. I sigh and look over to Eren he seems to be in deep thought about something. He looks almost serene like this his face is soft and void of emotion but his eyes are full of something I can't quite describe. I look away not wanting to be caught staring and going back to eating.

3rd persons pov
It was later in the evening when Levi and Eren were finally alone that Eren decided to bring up his question from earlier "hey Levi?" Levi answered back with a soft "hm?" not looking up. Eren hesitated before speaking again " why haven't we fully bonded yet?" Levi froze for a moment  and sighed before answering " I want the moment we claim each other to be perfect, you're my whole world now and I want to give you the best" as soon as Levi finished speaking Eren tackled him in a hug startling Levi but both melting into it nonetheless. They stayed like that taking in the others scent and warmth smiling to themselves softly.
