The ball part 1

3rd persons pov
The ball room was decorated in beautiful shades of silver, blue, and green with glittering ornaments and chandeliers covering it from top to bottom. As the hour hand makes it's way to 6 o'clock guests start to arrive each one dressed in a different dazzling outfit for the evening. The room is filled with an array of beautifully crafted masks with different features of animals and flowers no two were the same. Upstairs the royal prince and his mate were being dressed and adorned with jewels in separate rooms both nervous for the night to come.

Levi's pov
It's almost time for my entrance to the ball and as the maids are helping prepare me the only thing on my mind is Eren. I want tonight to be perfect. This is the night I officially announce to the surrounding kingdoms that I have chosen my mate. What I'm most nervous about is  Eren finally seeing what I have picked for him,  I'm afraid he won't like what I've designed. I sigh softly to myself and a maid bows signaling they're done dressing me. I step down from the platform I was previously standing on and make my way to full length mirrors to inspect my appearance. Once in front of the mirrors I begin looking at my attire for the night, I'm dressed in black formal pants with a blue, gold trimmed top with a matching jacket that reaches the floor. I wear simple but classy black boots for shoes. A variety of rings adorn my fingers and atop my head is my crown, it's the color of steel with blue and yellow jewels on each metal peak. I look back at the maid and nod approvingly thanking her and sending her on her way. Looking back in the mirror I try to imagine what Erens doing right now and what beautiful cloths and colors they have dressed him in.

Erens pov
It's a bit unsettling having all the maids around me dressing me in different patterns and colors but at the same time i'm curious about the end result. As the maids are finishing up my mind wanders to Levi and the accessory he was to pick for me to wear tonight. I wonder what he's chosen and I wonder what he is doing as of now. A maid taps my shoulder softly pulling me from my thoughts the points at the full length mirrors and I make my way over to them and begin to access my outfit for the night. My eyes widen as I see what I'm wearing my pants and top are a matching milky white color, silver trim lines the edges and details of my top and my shoes are a light grey color with a small heel to them. Small rings adorn my fingers and sparkling earrings hang from my ears. My cheeks and eyelids are speckled with glitter and I turn and thank the maid happily, she smiles and says it's almost time. I take a last look in the mirror and follow her.

3rd persons pov
The two mates are led from their separate rooms the room just atop the stairs to the ballroom and as they gaze at each other lovingly they both smile widely pleased with the others appearance. Levi is the first to speak...

Levis pov
"You look beautiful" I speak the word's softly smiling at Eren he blushes slightly and mumbles a small "you as well" making me smile wider. It's finally time for me to give Eren the accessory I made for him and seeing him now I know I made the right choice. I signal for the maid to bring the box over and I take it from her beginning to approach Eren slowly. His eyes widen and he speaks " is that the accessory you picked for me?" I nod and begin to explain "nothing in the jewel room was right so I designed this especially for you I hope it's to your liking". He hesitates for a moment and then opens the box slowly. When he sees what's within his face lights up and he gasps softly. I smile feeling a sense of pride as he puts it on, it only makes him more breathtaking than before.

Erens pov
When I open the box I can't help but gasp softly at the beautiful silver headpiece within. It sparkles in the light as I take it out of the Box a variety of aquamarine and topaz jewels line the body of it and in the middle is a dazzling lozenge cut emerald. A mumbled "It's beautiful" is all I can manage in the moment. I'm speechless it's more than beautiful it's gorgeous, I place it on carefully and look to Levi for approval. "And here I thought you couldn't be anymore breathtaking" I blush at his words and thank him. A butler comes to informs us that it's time for our entrance, Levi nods to him and takes my arm leading me out the doors and to the top of the stairs. As we settle at the top of the stairs  the music slows and stops making everyone look up at us different expressions on their faces.

3rd persons pov
All eyes in the room are on Levi and Eren at the top of the stairs, varying levels of confusion on their faces. Levi begins to speak " Ladies and gentlemen we thank you for joining us here for this festive occasion. I brought you all here tonight not only for our annual Christmas ball but also to make a very special announcement.  I have finally chosen my mate. This is Eren" the crowd gasps, some smile and some do nothing at all. "I hope we can all get along and have a lovely evening once again this year" as he ends his speech everyone cheers and raises their glasses of champagne. Levi smiles down at the crowd and he and Eren begin to make their way down the grand stairs to the rest of the guests. At the bottom of the stairs various royalty from visiting kingdoms and aristocrats wait to speak with Levi and his new mate.
