Calamity

Do you question your sanity, when life throws nothing your way but pure calamity?

Humanity, a grieve disappointment that leaves your mind reeling.

You  long to expel profanity to all that has a hand in the pandemonium that you call your life.

Strife sits right next to harmony, yet peace is just out of grasp.

Closing your eyes just a moment till perhaps it shall pass.

But alas when you once again open your eyes, your optimistic thoughts have now died.

Eyes red rimmed from the tears you recently cried.

Emotions flood through your senses like rising tides.

Brushed away to hide behind the fake smile plastered on your face.

Not a trace of the agony that pulses under your skin.

Your saddened heart races.

As you glance at your reflection, what a sad disgrace of who you once were.

A mere shadow of who you once used to be.

The you, you once intimately knew.

Humanity threw you to the wolves.

Left wounds that seep.

Pain that echoes deeply within.

Do you question your sanity?

 Question life?

Often just a tragic calamity.
