AN= This chapter, like before, is loosely inspired by the song Devil Town by Cavetown. And also, i guess a little vomit at the end. Also Wattpad won't let me put the gif so im a bit sad :(

Andie had gotten into the passenger seat of Stan's car in silence, after he had kindly opened the door for her. They sat in silence as Stanley began driving, neither one with knowledge that the other would steal glances of them. Stanley had to say something, he must. But what can he say? All he could do was admire her. There was lot of difference in the woman sitting beside him and the girl he had fallen in love with years ago. But at the same time, there wasn't. She had the same silky brown hair of curls and waves, the same brown eyes of light and dark, the same complexion of soft and flawless skin, with her nose small yet defined, and her lips of soft pink, that would bring love at it's touch.
"Are you okay?" Stanley finally asked, breaking the silence.
"Why, Stan?"
"What do you mean?" He took glances to the woman beside him.
"Why did you want to do it?"
"I-I-I don't know, I don't think I had a choice. It was like, I had to," he explained.
"How'd you stop yourself?" her voice quivered.
"I didn't. You did," he spoke with a low voice.
"What?"
"I got your message, and when I heard it, I just- It was like, a part of me had taken control back, and- Well, I'm not a liar," he slightly chuckled, trying to lighten the mood, bringing his eyes to Andie.
Andie smiled, "You remember."
"Of course I did."
There was silence again, but this was the type of silence they enjoyed with one another. "You look good, Stan," Andie had a small smile but it could barely be seen by Stanley since she had her head down. "I mean, like, you know, you look healthy and all."
"Oh, yeah, thanks. You look good, too."
During their whole ride back to the townhouse, they had talked. Mostly, it was Andie catching up with Stanley. He was an accountant and he owned his own firm in Atlanta. They were friends again and Andie felt happier than she had ever been for so long. It didn't matter what she felt for him now, because he was happy with his life, and his partner. It sucked that it wasn't her but she understood it well. She was his friend first, before she was anything. And that, at least, had to be permanent. As long as he was happy, she would be too.
"Hey, wanna do something fun?" Stanley smirked.
"What?"
"Wanna get ice cream?"
Andie chuckled, thinking he was joking, but he wasn't, which made her laugh more. "Like old times?"
"Uh-huh," he nodded.
"Sounds swell," Andie grinned.
They found an open ice cream place and bought a cone each. Neither one of them had changed that much, that was for sure. They ordered their favourite flavor, which had stayed the same over the years. Andie had chocolate and Stanley had vanilla. They walked around the shop, which was by the Derry bridge and they enjoyed the summer night air. The breeze filled their nostrils, and their taste was of cold ice cream. Stanley can't help but turn his view to Andie, who looked just as beautiful as the girl he had met 27 years ago, on the last day of school, and she even wore the same scent she always had; rose. All he wanted to do was stay there, with her, just the two of them, alone, together.
