Song For This Chapter: From The Ground Up by Dan And Shay

Daniel

"I can't believe she did that.." Finn shakes his head sighing. He gently pulls me to him and holds me close as I lean into him and close my eyes. "I just.. I don't know what to do about her anymore Finn... She's so difficult and she's not even a teenager yet. What are we gonna do when she's fifteen or sixteen?? It's gonna be so much worse.." I sniffle, burying my face into him.

"And I don't know what to do because before I could just decide and run it by you and now I have to talk to Corbyn because I don't want him to feel like I'm leaving him out of the girl's lives and I just-" I cut myself off when I let out a loud sob. "I'm just so stressed." I sob into him as he shushes me and gently rubs my back.

"How about we invite Corbyn over tomorrow while all the kids are away at school so there is nothing to worry about, nobody else to look after, and we can all work everything out as far as the kids? How does that sound?" He asks gently running his fingers through my hair in a way he knows calms me down.

"P-Please?" I hold onto him and he grabs his phone. "I'll text him now so we can make sure he's available and for what time and then I'm thinking just you and me, cuddling in our bed, in our super comfy clothes, and watch your favorite movie. How does that sound?" He asks and I nod quickly, really liking the sound of that. Finn starts texting Corbyn and then gently picks me up after a couple minutes.

"Okay, he says he is busy until eleven so he's gonna come over around noon. Is that good?" He asks as he walks to our closet and sets me down. I nod, not feeling like talking and he nods in return, kissing my forehead before texting Corbyn really quickly then he slides his phone into his pocket and puts his hands up.

"Okay that's it. No more phone's for tonight, the rest is all about you." He smiles softly and kisses my head. "Now let's get changed."

"Thank you for coming over." I say, sitting down at the chair at the end of the table, Corbyn and Finn each on either side of me. I slowly sip my cup of coffee that I had previously served to everyone along with some sandwiches just in case.

"Of course." Corbyn nods, gently putting his hand on my knee under the table and I can't help the small smile that appears on my face.

"I really wanted to do this because we need to come up with a plan for when a parenting moment comes up. I of course want you to be included in as much as you can with our three, and as far as I know Finn doesn't have any problems with that." I look at Finn for confirmation and he nods. I look back at Corbyn. "Now I could text you when something comes up, or I could call you but I can't really do that when it's something that needs to be done in the moment so what would you like me to do?" I ask and he thinks for a second.

"Honestly... I wanna have an answer but really I don't. I don't know anything about how the girls respond to different things so you should probably just do whatever you would normally do?" He nods and I nod along.

"But." He sits up more and looks at me. "I wanna find a place closer to here. Somewhere that it could take me like five minutes to get here for you or the girls instead on like fifteen to twenty." He sips his coffee and I nod thinking. "What if...if it's okay with Finn.." I say as I glance at Finn then back to Corbyn. "There's a space above the garage, It's technically meant for storage but it's insulated and there's stairs leading up there from the main house." I point to the door that leads into the garage. "You could stay there if both of you agree on it?" I tilt my head, kinda liking the idea of him staying that close to me and the girls.

"I would love that." He smiles and we both look at Finn.

"What do you think baby?" I ask him and he nods slowly.

" I um.. That sounds like a good idea baby.." He smiles softly and kisses my hand. "How about a refill?" He asks grabbing up everyone's cups and walking to the kitchen. I smile wide and look at Corbyn. "So when do you wanna start moving your stuff in?" I giggle and he shakes his head chuckling as he pulls my chair up beside his and kisses my head. "Well, whenever I go home tonight I'll start packing and let my landlord know that I'm moving." He smiles and hugs me.

I giggle, too excited to contain it and grab his hands. "C'mon you can come look at it while we wait on Finn so you can think if you wanna do anything to it." I jump up, pulling him up to his new room.

"You're welcome to paint or anything you wanna do." I smile and look up at him. "Thank you so much bubs." He wraps his arms around me and I hug onto him. "I haven't been called that in....forever" I sigh happily and lay my head against him as he looks around.
