Chapter 14:
We walked to Naveen's house, I don't know why but I buried my face into his shoulder.
"I can't take this anymore." I broke down into more tears. Everything just seemed broken.
"Don't worry Tiana."
He held my hand and smiled,
"Your mom loves you. Everything will work out."
My heart jumped a little when he held my hand. Little did he know it wasn't just my mom who I felt betray me, but the whole thing with Charlotte and Naveen. My life is honestly a mess.
"Tiana.." he started,
A sudden change of emotion whipped over me,
"I'm sorry Naveen I don't think I should be here." I stood up fiercely.
"I love the way you don't care about popularity and looks."
He looked me in the eyes charmingly and with the first time, true emotion.
I didn't say anything, I couldn't think of anything while staring into his eyes.
Suddenly he leaned in, I felt myself lean in too as we kissed. And this time I didn't let go. It was time to stop resisting the light and to enjoy life for once.
He backed away,
"I know we shouldn't be doing this, but I honestly need you." He held my face,
"I know my looks just don't do it to you."
"Naveen, I'm just not sure if I can forgive you that easily" I sighed sadly, Naveen brought me into despair for so many nights.
"That's why I'm going to fight everyday to win your trust." He smiled softly,
And we kissed again.
