After Kion and Karter spent more time looking at the sight, they decided to split and head home. Kion was smiling the entire time, he was happy to make Karter feel better. He needed it too, but also, this sprung up some curiosity from Kion. He now wanted to know who the lioness was, the one that Karter talked about. Kion felt like there was more reason for her to betray Karter like that simply just because her mom asked her to be nice. But what made Kion feel bad for his best friend is that, Kion could tell that Karter had a crush on her but sadly, it was never meant to be.

Kion was then broken out of his thoughts when he heard a growl. He looked around but noticed that there was nobody around him, his ears then picked up on the growl again and noticed that it was coming from the hill next to him. Kion quietly walked up and hid behind a tree and looked down to see some familiar faces. Kion silently gasped as he recognized the animals. It was Makucha and his two other friends. They were the ones that Kion saw Taka beat up that one night. Kion looked closely and saw that Makucha was ripping off some sort of leaf bandage off of his paw.

"That stupid Taka! I'll make sure to get my revenge." He heard Makucha growl.

"I would like that too, but we aren't strong enough." Fahari, the first friend, said.

"Yeah. But what can we do? He knows karate and we don't, even all three of us couldn't take him down." Jiona, the second, whined.

"Shut your trap!" Makucha roared, making his two friends quiet.

"I don't care what it was! That was just dumb luck! Next time I see him, I'm gonna tear him limb from limb!" Makucha said and Kion smirked. So it seemed his Senpai has caused some injuries to them and Kion quietly giggled and he quietly backed away from the tree and decided to walk back home without being noticed.

Somewhere

Morning appeared, the darker light blue sky and grey clouds with orange sight appeared in the background.

"I blame you for this!"

A building, made out of wood and rocks, more seemed like a base. And there were two animals, an adult male lion, backing away from what seemed like an old aged male tiger and he was seeming to walk up to the lion, like some sort of argument.

"You told me you would put my work efforts into the deal! You spent the meeting with the boss!" The tiger growled.

"I-It was due to my best intentions." The lion stuttered while backing away.

"He studied my ideas and declined them!" The tiger finally yelled.

"I-I'm sorry but I-"

"Don't you apologize, Bruce." Both animals looked up to their sides to see an adult lion with a red mane and black eyes walking up them.

"My industries have nothing to apologize for." The lion said as he glared at the tiger.

"What!? Darko! You stole my work and Ideas!" The tiger yelled and the Lion smirked as he walked down to them.

"That's some dangerous talk, Tom. I like danger but that isn't supportable." Darko said as he placed a paw on his shoulder and glared at him.

"Now you listen you old gaffer. For the past three years, you involved yourself in this without one successful support to your name. If you didn't succeed at anything when you were younger, who would believe that you created flying machines as an old geezer?" Darko said with made Tom grit his teeth in anger.

"I'm afraid that you are no longer suitable for this type of business." Darko said as Tom looked behind him to see two tall gorillas grab his body.

"What!? What're you...!? Put me down!" Tom yelled.

"Boys...show him the door." With a smile and the gorillas took Tom away, firing him at best.

Darko then patted Bruce and smiled at him.

"Don't worry. There isn't anything to blame you for." Darko said and walked away, leaving a distraught Bruce there.

Pride Lands

Kion quickly woke up before the rest of the Royal Family. He always had a habit of doing so, Kion quickly got dressed and he put on bag around him, some training stuff for the tournament.

I've never been even more pumped to head back to the dojo! Because from this day, everything's gonna change! Kion thought to himself with a smile as he headed up the stairs but that's when he heard a conversation.

Kion walked up to the main entrance of Pride Rock and listened closely behind the walls of the entrance, he could hear Nala and...surprisingly, Sarabi, Kions grandma, talking while everyone else is asleep.

"It isn't getting any easier, Nala. Things just seem to be falling downhill." Kion heard Sarabi say and then he pressed ear on the door.

"But Sarabi, I'm sure that Mufasa has left you some-" Nala spoke but Sarabi interrupted her.

"My husband is many wonderful things, but he wasn't really a...financial master if you can say." Sarabi giggled but then sighed.

"I can't describe how much I terribly miss him." Sarabi said and Kion felt a sting in his heart. He remembered how close he was to Mufasa when he got younger and the fact that he wasn't able to spend much time with him made him upset. Even thinking about it made Kion wince his eyes a little bit but then heard Sarabi giggle.

"But you listen to me ramble on and on." Sarabi giggled, making Nala laugh a little bit.

"I'll be able to manage. But please, don't say a word about this to Simba, or your daughters and your son. I'm pretty sure Kion would be the most concerned. Even if he acts tough on the outside, I'm pretty sure he cares." Sarabi said with a cheerful smile to Nala who sadly smiled back at her.

Kion didn't want to reveal he heard everything, so with a sad expression on his face, he just quietly walked back down from Pride Rock and began walking towards the Dojo...but not without looking back at Pride Rock.

Did he really care?
