The next day has come by and it was the day when Simba's older friends were going to come over and have some sort of party celebration. Kion wasn't planning on heading home at all, he was hoping to train for most of the day and hopefully hang out with his new girlfriend, Luna.

Today, Taka has put him through some tough training but it wasn't anything that Kion and his friends couldn't handle. So far, there were only three animals in the Cobra Kai dojo, it was already turning mid-day and Kion and his friends were outside, facing Taka.

"Alright! Listen up, you three. I have an important announcement." Taka said, making the three cubs looking at him in confusion.

"Uh, what's up, Senpai?" Kody asked him, while looking at his Senpai who was walking back and forth.

"As you all don't know. There's gonna be a martial arts tournament being held out here, in the Pride Lands. The Pride Lands Martial Arts Tournament." Taka announced and this got wide eyes from all three lion cubs.

"Seriously? A tournament? When?" Karter asked. Kion was also begging inside his mind to find out. This could be his chance for...everything.

"A month from now, so in that month, I'm going to put each and every single one of you on intense training, no mercy. You got that?" Taka made to clear.

"Yes, Senpai!" All three cubs have said and Taka nodded.

"Good. Karter and Kody, I want you to one thousand side kicks." Taka ordered, both cubs looked at each other, but nodded and walked up.

Kion looked from his two friends and looked up to his Senpai.

"Uh, what about me?" Kion asked, he wanted to do some sort of training, as because he saw this as a life opportunity.

"Kion, come with me." Taka said, as he walked away and Kion followed after him.

Both Kion and Taka were at a good distance. Kion looked around his surroundings which was a forest surrounding an open space with three long huge standing rocks.

"Now listen here. Cobra Kai is a very aggressive style of martial arts. As an enemy approaches you, you can't give 'em a chance to counter. The way we go, we have to take down our enemies before they take you down."

Taka let his words sink in and spoke up:

"The thing is, if you increase speed, kinetic energy will increase in power. Powerful hits don't come from how hard or if you're trying your best, it also comes down to what speed you're at and the impact."

Kion let those words sink in and it all made sense.

"And that's what these rocks are four." Taka stepped aside and let the three large rocks bestow upon Kion.

"What I want you to do, is imply speed on your punch, kicks and using both of them together." Taka implied and Kion nodded at his Senpai. Taka stood aside and observed.

Kion was thinking about how he was going to approach these rocks. Kion can't just pretend their rocks, if he was going up against an actual opponent, they wouldn't be just standing there, still like stone.

Kion got into a steady fighting stance, still thinking about how to destroy these rocks.

Then, he charged. He ran, dodging nothing, but jumping towards different sides while running and once he got close enough, he sent one swift kick.

With Kovu

Right now, Kovu was asleep at his place, he was living at rocky house with leaves as a roof. It was dark on the inside, so Kovu couldn't really see anything.

That was a terrible thing to deal with when Kovu's ears perked as he heard footsteps. He slowly rose his head and saw silhouette of a lion coming inside the entrance of the home.

Without thinking, Kovu quickly charged and used his front paws to kick the lion against the rocky wall and knocking him down.

"Oh my god!"

Kovu heard a familier voice yell out, there was suddenly light as he saw his mother, Zira, removing some of the leaves to get a bit of light.

Kovu saw his mother run to the lion, helping him up.

"Kaslan are you okay?" Zira asked on concern while Kovu stared at both of them in shock and confusion.

Zira turned to face her son.

"Kovu! What's wrong with you?" She asked and Kovu got angry at this point.

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you, you haven't been here for a whole month, I thought someone broke in!"

Zira sighed.

"Oh, I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to." Zira apologized.

"I came by to get a few things because Kaslan and I are going...to...Jaco." Zira said and that shocked the world out of Kovu.

"Wait, you're going to Costa Rica? With this dude, how long because we have food we need to pay and I don't-"

"You don't have to worry about that because, Kaslan is gonna give you a free amount that will last you until I get back."

Kaslan nodded with a smirk which only got an uncomfortable look from Kovu who turned to his mom.

"How long?" He asked in soft voice, like a little kid when he's asking his mother when she'll come back from work.

"Um...a few...weeks? Maybe a month?" Which earned a sigh from Kovu.

"Look, you have the place all to yourself and don't party too much and have some fun. I'll be back. I love you." Zira spoke in a soft voice and kissed her sons forehead and left. But before Kaslan could follow, Kovu opened his mouth.

"Hey."

Kaslan stopped and looked at him with a confused expression.

"You hurt her? And I'll make sure that you'll never walk on your four feet again." Kovu threated which earned a nervous gulp from him and then he left.

Kovu sighed as he relaxed, but he didn't feel any better. He hasn't seen his mom for over a month and she just came back to tell him she was leaving again. Ever since his mom and dad split up, he has been spending less and less time with her and it bothered him. Before, he had such a good relationship with her and all of that just came crashing down.

Kovu sighed as he went back to sleep.
