Chapter 9- Why?

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

It was a very long day, I met Haru-kun's friends, and they were nice to me.

I looked at the moon, then turned to the ring at my hand, touching it gently.

"I'm so unlucky with men, Just when I was about to think that they really loved me, they just suddenly leave me" I smiled bitterly, looking at the moon.

Sanzu's P.O.V

I leaned at the wall, my right hand on my pocket, listening to her.

"Hey, Haru-kun" She called out as I flinched upon hearing my name.

"Do you think, I would find someone who would love me, like you did?" She asked in a sad tone,

'No, cause I'll be that person who'd love you, I'll be the only one, I don't want anyone to have you, to touch you or kiss you, but I just can't do it, I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to protect you, That I would lose you' Is what I wanted to say but,

"You'll find someone" Is what came out of my mouth, looking at the floor, with a sad gaze.

"I see, but why can't it be you?" She asked, her voice quivering a bit, I gulped, clenching my fist.

'Because an angel and a devil can't be together' I wish I could tell her that but I just can't, it's so out of character of me, but when it comes to her, I just can't stand seeing her hurt.

I took my hand out of my pocket, walking towards the door when I felt a hand snaking to my waist.

"Haru-kun, Good night" She says, burying her face on my back, She took her hands off and turned her back walking towards her room, I looked at her figure.

I gaze at her, when I absent mindedly wrapped my arms around her shoulders, burying my face at the crook of her neck, She flinched at my sudden action, her body was so tense

"Huh?....Haru-kun" She reached her hand to my arms, touching it.

"Can we stay like this for a bit?" I asked, she relaxed her body, I caressed her shoulders, my face still on her neck.

"Haru-kun, remember the time, you did this?" She spoke, I just hummed in response.

"That time you broke up with me" She added.

Flashback

"(Y/n) Let's break up, I don't need you anymore.. No... I don't want you anymore" I said looking at her straight in the eyes, I could see through her eyes, she was sad and mad at the same time, she clenched her fist, then slapped me hard, running away from me.

I looked at her running figure, then I absent mindedly ran catching up to her, wrapping my arms around her shoulders, while she was very hard, that it hurt me

"Let go of me!" She screams

"I hate you! I hate you!" She screamed but she never pushed me back,

"Why?!... Why?" Her voice croaking, I turned her around, making her face me, then I planted a kiss on her lips. She flinched at my sudden action. When I removed my lips she stared at me with tears on her eyes, then she cried punching my chest, I just took the hit, then she pushed me running away from me

I looked down, clenching my fist, It was the right thing to do, It was to protect her, She can't be with me. She'll be fine, She won't be thinking about me, She have to go abroad and achieve her dreams

End of Flashback

"I was in pain for years, everything reminded me of you, I thought that I completely moved on, now that I have Dazai-kun, but the moment I saw you again, everything came back, It still hurts you know?" She said clutching her chest.

"When Dazai-kun betrayed me, I was hurt a bit, I admit that, but it wasn't painful as yours" She added, I could feel her tears, dripping on my arms.

I turned her around making her face me, I cupped her cheeks, wiping the tears in her eyes, pulling her close, I tilted my head, our lips were so close to touch.

"Hey! Sanzu! I think something's wrong with the bed, It was so uncomfortable!" Ran says appearing out of nowhere yawning, scratching his back.

(Y/n) pushed me, it was kinda dark so I couldn't see what expression she was making. I clicked my tongue, looking at Ran

I forgot they were having a sleep over here, Shit!

"Did I miss something?" He asked looking at us while I glared at him.

"Yes, you sick fu-" I was about to curse when I felt a glare beside me, I cleared my throat.

"I mean, No, Just sleep Ran you're disturbing other people" I said, clicking my tongue.

"Whatever, Well, Hello (Y/n)! Can't sleep?" What's with the sudden change of tone?

"Huh? Er... I was just about to sleep so yeah! Bye! Good night" She said now walking towards her room.

I turned to Ran who was smirking, "She's such a sweetheart, isn't she, Sanzu?" Ran says smirking at me.

"Fuck off" I hissed, turning my back.

"Well, if you don't do something now, someone would be happy to steal her" He said, but I just ignored him, walking towards my room.

'As if I'd let that happen' I said to myself, lying in bed.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

That was embarrassing! We almost got caught.

I hugged my pillow tightly, my face felt like it was burning, I buried my face on my pillow, when I heard a knock on my door.

I walked towards the door, opening it.

"Did I woke you up?"
