Megumi's Side Story

"Megumi!" I could hear Grandma calling from the kitchen, I hurriedly slip my shoes on, running out of the room.

"Grandma!" I called, as she handed me my bento and other snacks. "Take care okay? Are you sure you don't want your uncle to send you to school?" She asked, I nodded kissing her cheeks then I wave my hand "Bye Grandma!" I ran out of the house.

When school was over, I walk to where I always go and hang out. I pushed the heavy door open and saw "Dad!" I called making the man turn to me, Kazutora-san carrying a cat and Chifuyu-san with his cat Peke J.

"How many times have I told you, I'm not your Dad" He sighed, I just giggled, wlaking towards him.

Kazutora-san and I met when I was lost and he sent me home, so started that day I treated him as my father since he would always go to every meeting in the school and he would also fetch me at school sometimes (When he's not busy)

"But you are" I crouched down when I felt a cat was snuggling with my feet. I pat the cats head who seemed to like the way I touched him. "His new" I said picking the cat up raising it. 

"I found it yesterday, he was badly injured good thing I tend his wounds early or else he would die" Chifuyu-san said, I look at the cat's beautiful blue eyes, He had beautiful white fur and it was really fluffy. 

"Can I have him?" I asked not turning to them, I could hear Chifuyu-san laughing "You already have 9 cats in your house" He said, I put the cat down, taking a deep breath as I close my eyes.

"Here we go again" 

I open my eyes looking at Chifuyu-san with my secret weapon, My puppy eyes "Can I have winty?" I asked cutely, I could see both of them sighed "Fine" They sighed, I victoriously jumped, carrying winty 

"I'll call him winty cause his white and cute!" I said hugging the white cat who purred. "I'm gonna go and take her home!" I said running out of the pet shop.

As soon as I went home, Grandma started to scold me about bringing another cat in, but I didn't mind her trying not to mind her as I feed the cat.

"I'm gonna go and visit mom later" I said cutting her off, she was silent for a bit then afterwards she let out a sigh. "Okay, take care okay?" She said, I nodded walking out of the house.

When I was still a baby my Mom died and they said my father died too but they couldn't find any traces of his body. I kept asking them again and again but they still answer the same answer. But for me, I don't believe his dead, because I heard from my uncle Mitsuya that my father was a strong person.

I know he's still here, He left me, yes. But I have a feeling he has his own reason. 

As I mindlessly walk, I turn to see a man sitting on the park bench, he was wearing a purple formal suit, and his rosy-pink mullet hair covered his face. I saw that his hand had a cut so I hurriedly went to a nearby pharmacy buying a band-aid with the little money that I had then I rushed to the man.

I put the band-aid in his hand that had a cut covering it. "There!" I look up at him smiling, He seemed to be in shock as his mouth parted a bit silently staring at me.

"Hi! I'm Megumi!" I introduced with a smile, he was still silently staring at me. "Hello Mr. Silent it's nice to meet you too!"

"Megumi! What are you doing over there!" I look behind me to see Kazutora-san standing from the distance. "I have to go!" I bowed at the man, then waved goodbye as I ran to Kazutora-san.

"Dad!" I called Kazutora-san as I held his hand. "For the last time! Don't call me that I'm not your Dad" He sighed, I just giggled "But you are!" I protested

"No I'm not" He ruffled my hair, I look up at him as I saw him smile.

"I'm gonna go visit my Mom" I said stopping then he look at me as he close his eyes letting out a sigh. "I'll go with you, I'm just gonna wait for you outside the cemetery" He said, I nodded then we started to walk towards the cemetery where Mom was buried.

When I wet to the cemetery I saw the man who I saw on the park, he puts a flower on top of Mom's grave. I hid behind a grave listening to what he was gonna say.

"If you were here right now maybe we could've live beside the beach just like you wanted, with our two little kids running at the sand and We'll be watching the sunset together just like a family and-" He paused and I could hear him sniffling

"She was like you y'know? Our Megumi is just like you, kind and cheerful" I flinched when I heard my name coming out of his mouth

"Everytime I remember you I get lonely cause I'll never get to touch you. I wish I can touch you just once again but that would just be an impossible dream" He laughed but I could tell he was laughing bitterly.

"Why do have to be so cruel, Everytime I wake up I miss those morning kisses and the way you cook our meal and the way you touch my scars and everything. Waking up without you by my side just feel so lonely" I could feel a cold gush of wind pass by. I turn to the man and saw he was walking away.

I stood from where I was hiding then I walked towards Mom's grave. As I stood in front of her grave I clasped my hands together as I closed my eyes, afterwards I looked at Mom's grave, smiling. 

I told her about my day and everything and since I could still feel that the man was here, I kept on talking and talking about what I did and everything that happened. Another gush of wind blew again and afterwards I could feel that his presence disappeared.

I smiled as I look at the flowers that was on top of Mom's grave. "You must be glad that he came and visited you" I giggled looking up the sky. I could feel a warm liquid roll down my cheeks and my view was getting blurry tears brimmed on my eyes. 

"Papa, I found you" I smiled through the tears, I was glad that I was correct but sad that I won't get to be with him. But it's better this way.
