Chapter 38: Mara

Sanzu's P.O.V

I was inside the office with Mochi and Kakucho and there was a woman in front of our desk.

"I assume you know how to take care of a baby, yes?" Mochi asked as I sat quietly observing the woman. The woman nodded "Yes, I do" She smiled I rolled my eyes as I let out a frustrated sigh

"What's wrong Sanzu?" Kakucho asked. I turned to him "This is killing me! I wanna go home!" I whined making Mochi turn and glare at me. We've been here for hours and hours

"You gave us this task and now you're complaining? You volunteered to handle the picking when it was supposed to be (Y/n)-chan's" Kakucho says raising a brow at me.

I really miss Megumi, now Akashi and the others are at the house with (Y/n) and Megumi. They must've had fun without me. Megumi must be on Ran's arms, imagining him holding my daughter makes me sick and jealous

"Fine she's hired" I nonchalantly said as I stood up, placing my hand in my pockets and storm my way out of the office.

When I arrived home with Mochi, Kakucho and the nanny for Megumi. I heard my daughter's laughter from the outside making me thrilled to barge in.

"I'm Home!" I yelled as I looked at Megumi who had a smile across her face, I was happy to see her but when I turned to the person holding her my smiled dropped changing it into a frown

"Why are you holding my baby?" I glared at Ran while the latter just mockingly smiled at me. "Scared that Megumi would get attached to me than you?" He stated kissing Megumi's forehead

"Hey! Don't you dare kiss my child!" I hissed as I walked towards him reaching my hand out to Megumi but she just buried her face more on Ran's chest as if she doesn't want me

It makes me sad knowing that my daughter loves Ran more than her father. 

My hands froze in mid air as I looked at Megumi's reaction

"Oh, You're back?" 

"Where's the food (Y/n)-chan?" Mikey jumped off of the couch meeting someone behind me.

"Haru-kun?" I turned to see who it was

"Oh... Hey.. I'll go upstairs... I guess I'm just tired" I weakly stated as I made my way upstairs

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

I looked at Haru-kun's figure noticing how gloomy he was. I place the plate of cookies and turned my head on Kakucho-san giving him a questioning look but he just shrugged his shoulders. I noticed a woman standing right beside him 

"Who is this woman?" I asked, smiling at the woman who smiled back at me

"Oh, Hi My name is Mara Tanaka it's nice to meet you" She bowed her head politely

"Hello what brings you here?" I asked then I could feel someone patting my shoulder making me turn to them

"She's the nanny Sanzu picked" Mochi reported, I hummed in response as I looked at the young woman from head to toe, then I smiled "I'll be in your care Ma'am" She kindly smiled 

"Oh just call me (Y/n), there's no need to be formal" I said as i walked towards her patting her shoulder

"Welcome to the family" I grinned. Ran poked my shoulders as I faced him and saw Megumi reaching her hands out to me which I carefully handle her into my arms

"This is Megumi, she's the baby that you'll be taking care of" I introduced, I could feel Megumi tugging my hair as she tried to put it inside her mouth but I quickly grabbed my hair back, shoving it behind me.

"How cute~" Mara giggled "She can be a bit hard to handle sometimes so please I hope you can cope up with her" I smiled at her apologetically "No it's okay I have handled a lot of kids from the orphanage" 

"You work at an orphanage?" I asked "Sort of" She replied

"Hey we'll be going home see ya tomorrow" Koko-san said as he waved his hand

"Hey Mikey leave the rest for Megumi don't pocket it all" I heard Koko said as they went outside

"No!" Mikey ran off bringing 3 cookies with him, I just giggle at their actions

"Bye~" Ran waved his hand as they all went out. The door closed as I turned my attention to the nanny

"I'll show you your room first and I'll give you some instructions after and tomorrow I'm gonna tour you around the house" I said making our way to the room I once used and prepared for her

"I'm gonna let you rest for today and tomorrow you can start your job" I dismissed

"thank you" She bowed once again. I left her as I made my way towards the room, I opened the door and saw Haru-kun on the bed his eyes was on the ceiling.

I put Megumi who was fast asleep in the crib then I turned to Haru-kun

"Are you okay?" I asked as I sat beside him

"Why does Megumi hate me so bad?" He mumbled facing me. His hair is disheveled as if he twist and turn on the bed.

"No, she don't. How would she hate her own father?" I asked while brushing his hair. "I can sense it the way she doesn't want me to carry her" He whined, I giggled at his childish thinking "You're overthinking, just because of that" I said. He grabbed my hand then sat up.

"That's easy for you to say because she-" He looked away still holding my hand, I squeezed his hand.

"Because?" I asked raising a brow, intrigued at what he wants to say next

"Nothing!" He sighed "Come here" He smiled once again as he pulled me close to him hugging me from the back

"Changing the topic?" I teased, I could feel his shoulder tense for a second then he sighed again

"If you want to get close to her spend more time with her" I suggested "I already did but those bastards-" He whispered the last sentence as if I didn't hear it. 

"Tomorrow you can spend your time with her and-"

"You're coming with us" He interrupted hugging me tighter.

"Okay" I giggled, his sweet attitude makes me feel like I'm the luckiest woman in the world
