"Let's get married." I said, pulling Saylor into my arms.

"What?" Saylor asked.

"Let's get married." I repeated.

"No." She giggled, squirming in my arms.

I had asked her twice now, she always said no.

She told me that marriage was just a legal thing and didn't change much anyway. Technically, she was right but I still wanted to marry this girl.

I asked again, a year later. We had been travelling for the last month and were in Boston, Massachusetts.

We were in the huge bubble bath in some fancy hotel.

I was tracing the bubbles along her bare back.

"Marry me, Saylor." I whispered in her ear.

I kissed her on her neck, and slowly moved to her shoulders.

She laughed, "We've already gone over this, Owen. No."

"Please." I said, moving her hair away and kissing her, tenderly, again.

She moved her hair back to where it was before, making me laugh.

"Sorry, no." She said, again.

I sighed, "I'll get you to marry me one day."

"Maybe." She said, softly.

And I did.

I married the love of my life on August tenth, after asking for five times.

"I told you I'd get you to marry me." I said in the hotel.

She laughed, "You did, didn't you?"

"Now how about a kid?" I joked.

"Oh don't you start." She told me, "Although, I'm down to consummate the marriage."

I pulled her into a kiss, "Thought you'd never say so."

Everything was calm after that.

We sold the house boat and moved into a nice house. We stopped traveling as often, we even got a German Shepard named Winnie.

And then something I never expected happened.

I saw the pregnancy test sitting on the guest bathroom counter one day.

"Saylor." I called.

She came into the room with a smile.

I held the test up, tears forming in my eyes.

"Surprise." She said, running up to me, "I'm pregnant."

I lifted her up into a hug, she wrapped her arms around my neck and her legs around my waist.

I was gonna be a dad. She hugged me tighter, nuzzling her head in my neck.

"So who's the dad?" I asked.

She moved her head and looked me in the eye and started laughing.

"I hate you so much." She laughed, giving me a kiss on the lips.

We had our first baby boy when we were twenty six and twenty seven.

Emelio Joseph Windess was born on February 26th. Our own little spicy pisces.

"He looks just like you." Saylor smiled, looking down at the little brown haired, green eyed baby.

"Would you look at that." I smiled down at the little sleeping baby.
