Later that night, the Circle of Khanna (apart from Merula) met together in the courtyard. Lana was planning on telling them about what she saw in Knockturn Alley after the party they threw after finding and sealing the final vault.

"Hey, everyone. I know it's late, so thanks for meeting me." the Gryffindor girl began, "There's something I wanted to talk to you about. And it's important."

"I doubt it could be more important than Dumbledore's news that we get to go off school grounds!" Penny grinned.

"Well—"

"Imagine all the pranks that could be pulled outside of school!" Tonks gasped, a mischievous glint in her eyes as per usual.

"I can't wait to learn more about what Dumbledore has planned for us! I'm so excited!" Penny squealed.

"You're excited about most things, Pen." Tonks chuckled.

"You're not wrong!" the blonde girl giggled.

"Well, since everyone is talking about careers...is anyone looking forward to trying out a specific one?" Lana sighed, growing slightly impatient with how the meeting was getting further away from the point she was trying to make.

"Creatures!" Barnaby said.

"What about them, love?" Lana chuckled.

"Puffskeins, kneazles, hippogriffs, nifflers, bowtruckles, gnomes..." the boy listed.

"I think he's excited about a career with magical creatures." Lana stated.

"Is he broken? I think he's broken." Tonks joked, as Barnaby kept listing his favourite creatures.

"Barnaby's just being Barnaby." Lana chuckled.

"Classic Barnaby." Penny laughed.

"I can't help it if I get excited about creatures!" Barnaby said in his defence, a small grin on his face.

"I'm curious about what everyone's interested in doing. Let's talk about job interests!" Penny suggested, so that's what they did.

"Everyone's job interests are pretty diverse." Lana stated once the discussion had come to an end.

"It sounds like everyone chose their clubs accordingly!" Penny chuckled.

"What do you mean?" Lana asked her.

"Well, Liz and Barnaby both want to work with magical creatures, and they'e both in Hippogriff Club. It makes sense they'd like careers focusing on creatures, because Hippogriff Club is all about nature and nurture." Penny explained.

"I just wanna hold a baby hippogriff one day." Barnaby sighed.

"I can't even imagine what a baby hippogriff might look like." Lana chuckled.

"It would be adorable! No question about it. I just know that snuggling adorable creatures is in my future. And you, Lana." the boy grinned, and Lana resisted the urge to scoop him up in her arms and protect him from the world forever.

"You're so cute!" Lana gushed, "Anyway, speaking of future, that's kinda why I wanted to talk to you all..." she said, trying to get back on track.

"It looks like we're mostly here...except from Merula." Ben observed.

"Barny, have you talked to Merula at all since you've been back at school?" Lana asked.

"No, and she seemed really busy over the summer." Barnaby responded.

"Any idea what she might've been busy with?" the brunette asked again.

"Not a clue, but I'm tired of solving mysteries."
