Lana found the black quill Ismelda left in the owlery, and it said 'The meeting is on. Find me in the artefact room tonight after supper.'. Lana was quick to find Corey and report back to him, needing his help with the ordeal.

Badeea was the person meeting with Merula...but it wasn't what Lana had expected. Merula claimed she needed help with charms, so Badeea was tutoring her. As annoying and disappointing as it was, she couldn't stand there and point fingers at them.

Corey then sat Lana down the next day and they reviewed the current facts they had. Lana then realised that Merula could indeed be innocent, and should go a little easier on her for the time being, until she definitely knew who the mole was. Tonks then found her in the hall and dragged her to Dumbledore's office with her.

When the girls arrived Lana saw that it wasn't just them, but Barnaby, Ben and Liz, and Charlie were there, too. She hurried over to Barnaby, placing a hand on his back. He looked at her and gave her a small smile, resting his hand on her lower back and kissing her forehead.

"You asked to see us, Professor Dumbledore?" Lana asked as the headmaster strode into their midst.

"Indeed! Are all of you here?" Dumbledore asked.

"Well, there's me, Lana, Tonks, Liz, Charlie, and Ben...the portrait of Phineas Nigellus Black, the portrait of Armando Dippet, Fawkes..." Barnaby listed, looking around and checking off everyone who was in the room.

"You could've just said 'yes', Barny." Lana whispered, giggling at him slightly.

"I had to double-check!" he chuckled, grinning down at her.

"It can never hurt to double-check." Dumbledore said, smiling fondly at the boy, "But on why I gathered you six here today. As you all know, at the beginning of the year feast I mentioned a very special arrangement."

"Is this about going off school grounds to think about future careers, professor?" Lana wondered.

"Indeed it is, Miss Riviera. But you'll have to listen carefully to the details." Dumbledore smiled, and began his explanation. He told the students that they would be going to the Ministry of Magic to look at careers, and Lana could hardly wait.

"Despite this being possible because of some close friends, remember that you are representing Hogwarts. Everything you do at the Ministry of Magic will reflect on our school." Dumbledore said seriously, "Any questions?"

"Yes...you said you chose us based on our talents and interests?" Lana asked.

"Indeed, you six are excellent candidates for the Ministry." Dumbledore smiled, "Miss Tonks for her dependability, Mr Lee for his loyalty, Miss Tuttle for her knowledge, Mr Weasley for his bravery, Mr Copper for his steadfastness, and finally Miss Riviera. Some have called you stubborn, some lucky, some ambitious. Which of those qualities do you think you possess?"

"I'd say I'm pretty stubborn. I want to get to the bottom of every mystery, so it's a key trait to have." Lana answered.

"A very Gryffindor trait, some might say." Dumbledore smiled, "You are dogged in your pursuits...and I think some may mistake your tenacity as stubbornness. You've been chosen to go for these qualities. But also for your heroic efforts in sealing the Cursed Vaults. Which is why first and foremost, you'll be starting in the Department of the Magical Law Enforcement." he said, and Tonks broke out into a huge grin.

"Yes!" she cheered, "Auror training, here I come!"

"You really think they'll put us in Auror training, Tonks?" Lana asked her friend.

"Uh, well—" Tonks stammered.

"That, students, will be entirely up to the Ministry. Now I trust you all to balance your time at the Ministry with your studies. Do not let me down." Dumbledore said.
