i do not own tokyo revengers. that series belongs to ken wakui. the only characters i really own are any ocs i incorporate into this book. ( i will also be incorporating a few elements from persona 5, a personal favorite game of mine, in this book. in fact, the mc for this book is inspired by kasumi yoshizawa . that being said, i do not own persona 5, atlus developed the game. )
i am now fully caught up with the manga, but do my two brain cells comprehend much of it? no. am i just writing this so my biases for mitsuya and chifuyu can manifest in written text form? yes. so, that being said, spoilers for the manga litter the book beyond this point!
a couple things might diverge from the original plotline so our good ole mc can shine! this also means that i'll be adding my own original spice-of-life (yes, i did that oh so clever play on words entirely on purpose) happenings and the occasional rom-com moments, of course, all in order to balance out the unavoidable angst this series battered me down with.
on that note, character deaths will be kept in for this book! while i will change a few things about the plot to let mc thrive, i will still try to keep all of the major important plot points intact.
on that note (a saga in this disclaimer, it would seem), tokyo revengers deals with potentially triggering topics which i plan to keep in when writing this book to keep the plotline as similar as can be. according to Does the Dog Die, a couple of these topics are: animal abuse, addiction, torture, deaths, kidnapping, extremely shady business practices, stalking, cheating, gaslighting, anxiety attacks, suicide, sexual assault, hate speech (there will NOT be any slurs in this book), domestic violence, car crashes, gun violence, blood/gore, etc.). there are plenty i have certainly accidentally forgotten, but i will be interweaving these topics into this book.
this book will be a reverse harem, but if you notice a bias towards characters with names that happen to be mitsuya takashi and chifuyu matsuno, shhhhhhh, no you don't.
as i mentioned earlier, quite a lot about this series manages to escape my feeble mind, so there will most definitely be incorrect interpretations and plentiful concepts that i will have misconstrued. also, there will be many typos and other such mistakes in this book, but i will try my best to minimize them! in addition, this book will contain language similar to the series i am writing for (that being offensive, crass, vulgar, suggestive, risque, mature, however you would like to describe it).
similar to my other books, i will be touching on tropes and matters originating from other source materials, but unlike some of my other books, this one will not really be a crossover. i also drew inspiration from other forms of media to craft the mc's persona (yes, this was a pun, in case you were wondering)!
