"*Sigh* (Nickname), if the company in here knows that you're bringing me things even when you're a volunteer, they'll-"
"Oh, don't concern yourself with that, Kaz! I'm a big girl, I can handle myself~" You waved off his concerns, and if you weren't separated by glass at that moment, you would have booped his nose, as well.
One saw, you were currently visiting Kazutora while he was serving out his sentence. You were also volunteering there in place of volunteering at the hospital so you could oversee Kazutora's progress firsthand with your own eyes. You were very proud of how much better he was doing; he was also treated noticeably better than he was the first time he was thrown in there. (Baji said he didn't want Kazutora to think that Baji died because of anything other than a self-inflicted stab wound, so you tried to steer Kazutora on the right path as much as possible.)
"... So, how are you holding up?" He finally asked. You sighed, leaning on one hand while picking at the counter with the other.
"Gotta admit, it's been rough; especially because I was kicked out of Toman. And rightfully so, of course, considering that I beat up the third division." Kazutora's eyes widened in shock. In fact, the only contact I've had with any of 'em was that time I bumped into 'Fuyu when I went to visit Kei.
"Mikey kicked you out?!" He sputtered. Of all the things he expected the short king to do in the name of lashing out, he never could have guessed that Mikey would have forced you to leave the gang!!
"Oh - sorry! My bad, my bad!! Temporarily kicked out. Sorry!" You clarified, and Kazutora let out a relieved sigh.
"Oh, thank goodness. I... would have felt even worse if that were the case."
"Just focus on yourself, Kaz. That's all I ask of you."
He was silent after that, causing you to try to make eye contact with him. Needless to say, he avoided your eyes like the plague.
"... You know, I never thanked you for visiting me." Kazutora suddenly said. You furrowed your brows.
"You don't have to thank me. Seeing you improve yourself... It makes me happy." You confessed. He felt his cheeks grow warm at the revelation.
"N-Not for now, I meant... before. You... you and Baji were the only ones to visit me, and I never thanked you for it, so..." He bowed to you, and your eyes widened.
