Chapter two Power of the moonlight

Clare POV

"So....you want us, to complete against Fairy tail as a team B" I said in compete shock at the announcement "yes you, Laxus, Gajeel and Mirajane will compete as a team for the grand magic games" Makarov explained "who will be our reserve?" I asked as well "Mystogan" Makarov said with big grin on his face "gramps is this even a good idea" I added sounding concerned at the idea of Fairy tail competing in two teams "it'll be fine kid" Makarov reassured us, I looked over at my brother he just looked pleased "why are you smiling like that you psycho" I said feeling the goosebumps crawling "this means, intense training for me and you little sis" Laxus says with excitement and tell he really was excited, we hadn't done intense training since we were kids "Clare Dreyar we are off to train" Laxus said with that classic smirk of his. He walks over grabbing me and slinging me over his shoulder in a swift "Laxus Dreyar put me down this instance" I yelled hitting his back with my fists and he walks out of the meeting room.

Laxus walks for hours still carrying me like a child "put me down I'm not nine" I mumbled tired of fighting him "fine your getting heavy anyway" he chuckled immediately I was not happy at his comment towards me "did you just say I was FAT!" I growled as Laxus starts to putting me down "I'm joking sis, your not fat, you actually weigh nothing" Laxus said nudging me with his elbow "like a 6,4 huge man could tell is how much a 5,5 tiny women weighs" I said folding my arms as we continue walking to Laxus training ground, whenever Laxus blow off some steam he would go to these mountains to train "so how did your last mission go?" He asked trying to make conversation. Laxus and I didn't have a loving brother and sister relationship, since the attack Tenrou Laxus is trying more to be a supportive brother and caring although the caring thing is a little creepy and intense but he's trying "it went good, I thought I had time to get home but I had a little altercation" I explained "altercation, did something happen?" Laxus asked sounding concerned "nothing happened" I said putting hands in my pockets " I know when your lying" Laxus said and he was right, he always knew when I was lying "alright, I got lost and it was late, saw some thief's, I thought I could take them but one snuck up behind me attacked me, I dodged in time but it got me rolling down a hill, luckily some else was out there and saved me" I explained looking up at Laxus. He didn't all well pleased "you always do this" Laxus said letting out a sigh my mouth dropped at his response "do what exactly?" I asked myself surprised still "you always try to push yourself, you do one job tire yourself out then try to take out thugs" Laxus yells at me.

I stopped in my tracks "you need to be more careful" Laxus said sounding worried, I stood there taking in what he said, he's right I need to be careful, I never knew when to stop even after one job, I'm always itching to have another fight "then we have a lot of training to do" I said and hearing me say this Laxus smirked "that's my sister" he said as we walked to this mountain place. Finally after hours of hiking we made it to this mountain place. I slipped off my long jacket to reveal my guild mark on my left arm ready to do this "I'm not going easy on you" Laxus said as small sparks surrounding him "aw you were going easy on me" I said smiling which made Laxus smirks, I got into my fighting stance and started focusing all my magic energy "moon" I breathe out "dragon ROAR" I breathed out as white/blue light beam comes shooting out of my mouth heading straight towards Laxus he pulls his fist back ready to counter attack "lightening dragon iron fist" he cuts my roar in half but what he didn't expect was me appearing in front of him "moon dragon iron fist" as moonlight surrounds my fist going in, punching him right in the face. The impact sent him flying straight into a rock "you've improved" he grunts pulling himself off the rock that he was stuck on "I am the moon dragon slayer" I said sounding really proud "but your going to need to be a lot faster" Laxus said and out of no where I was struck my lightening "moon dragon wing attack" I crossed my arms and cut through the lightening freeing from his trap. But while I was distract Laxus was no where in sight, I felt a presence and turned "lightening raging bolt" I dodged before I could get hit "lightening dragons heavenward halberd" as Laxus makes a fist a strong wave of lightening comes charging towards me and I wasn't fast enough to dodge it. I got hit with the full force and was hit hard I landed my side onthe ground holding my waist "Clare are you okay?" Laxus asked as I started getting up holding my waist catching my breath "I'm fine...I'm just out of practice" I said i between breathes "you definitely are out of practice" he said with a chuckle and I just gave him resting face look, I shook it off and tried collecting as much moon spiritual energy as I could, it's a lot easier at night "moon dragon....brilliant dust" I said holding my hands out as Laxus was surrounded by a spiral on moonlight and moondust trapping him, I move my hands so that the wave surrounding Laxus grew smaller and boom full hit straight on Laxus. He was on he's knee catching his breathe "impressive" he said, I was ready to go in for another attack but I felt a sharp pain in my head and stopped me in my tracks, something wasn't right the pain was horrible and I fell to the ground "Clare what's wrong?" Laxus yelled but I couldn't focus, I rolled over trying to ease the pain, the pain is so intense I started to scream in pain.
