I was playing patty cake with Omega as we flew through hyper space. I giggled as Omega laughed too. I missed and accidentally hit her face. I quickly pulled away as my ears wilted. Her face scrunched up and she blinked her eyes in shock. "Sorry." I say. She giggles. "It's ok." I smile but we stop when a beeping is heard from front. "We're being hailed. It's Rex." Tech says. We quickly go up and join him. Rex appears on the holoform. He's wearing his cloak. "Hi Rex!" I yell. He smiled a bit but held an upset face. "Rex?" I asked confused and saddened. Did I upset him? "How you going boys?" He asked. It's still weird they all have the same voice or at least sounds very similar. Never really get used to it. Except Cross! His voice was more cranky and raspy.

"What do you need Rex?" Daddy asked. He sighed. "I'm in a tight spot. I need some help." Everyone quickly sat up. They looked ready for anything. Including Omega. "What is it?" Daddy asked. "A clone trooper. He needs some help. I can't get to him right now." He explained. Daddy quirked an eyebrow. "You want us to save a reg?" He asked. "Yes. He's an old friend." Daddy looked hesitant but looked back at Rex. "Alright. Who is it?" Rex opened his mouth to speak but a beeping on his side cut him off. "Kriff. Got to go! I'll send you the coordinates." He pushed some buttons on his arm band then flipped something and the hologram disappeared.

I hummed in worry. A friend needs help? I looked up to daddy expecting an answer. Obviously we'd help right? "Hunter?" Omega asked. "Might I remind you we're on a job for Cid right now? If we deviate from the objective we lose insurance. No pay means no food." Tech explained. "Oh yeah. Tech has a point." Wrecker said. "But he sounded like he was in trouble! We have to help!" Omega explained. "Yeah. The kid has a point." Wrecker said again. "This is Rex we're talking about. It must be very important if he contacted us." Echo said with a bit of hope and anger. "Yeah. Echo has a point." Wrecker said ONCE again. I sigh. Wrecker just joins every conversation doesn't he, even if he's in the wrong. Daddy sighed. "Just to check it out. Nothing more." He said. Echo sighed and relief and Tech sighed in probably annoyance.

Tech changed the coordinates and flew the ship that way. Daddy turned to me and patted my head. "You did real good V." I smiled at him. My tail wagged. Omega laughed and started trying to grab it. I squealed and ran. She chased me and we begun a game of chase.

*Time skip*

I was looking over different electronic parts with Omega called out, "We're coming up on our destination." We quickly ran to the front. It looked really nice. My eyes sparkled. So much grass and nature. Probably lots of animals too. I purred slightly. Omega giggled. "Excited?" I nodded. "We get to explore again." I said happily. "V. Remember, it's not a free expedition. We're here to check out the situation." He keeps using big words. It makes my brain rot. I whined. "Okay." I leaned to Omega. "What does expedition mean?" She just gave me a look uncle Cross would give uncle Wrecker when he did something stupid and funny. She opened her mouth to explain but the ship shook from landing. We might need a little juice up. She's shaking a lot. Yeah! That's right. I named her. What you gonna do about it? Please don't do anything.

They opened the door. "Alright Tech. Track where the beacon is coming from." Tech nodded. "Already on it." Tech started typing on his data pad and we followed him. I looked around as we walked. I spotted a blinking red light in the distance. I ran to it. "V!" Daddy yelled and he ran after me. I eventually stopped and picked it up. I sniffed it and smelled a man's smell on it. He smelled sweaty and like gunpowder. Funny, it reminds me of Wrecker. He's always with gunpowder. I turned as daddy got to me. I lifted it to him. "What's this?" I asked. He took it and Tech stopped next to him with Omega. "Oh. She found it." Tech said with basically no emotion. He took it from daddy. "But... He's not here." He said confused. Daddy looked around. He picked at the ground and held up some dirt. "This way." He followed the tracks. We followed him too.
