Hindi nagtatapos doon ang pang-aasar nila. Ngayon ay sa amin na nakatutok ang kanilang mga pansin, may malisya pang mga tingin na talagang ipinipilit. At hindi ko nagugustuhan iyon.

With my back leaning against the sturdy branch, I openly bore my eyes now on Kalen who was apparently flushing like there was no tomorrow. Nag-isang linya ang mga labi ko.

"Rui, baba ka! Kanina ka pang sinosolo ni Kalen," kantyaw muli nila na sinabayan ng malalalim na halakhakan.

"Magsitigil nga kayo!" bawi ni Kalen nang mahimasmasan, hiyang-hiya akong sinulyapan pabalik, "Hindi talaga sila marunong mahiya, Rui. Uh, pasensya ka na..."

"Rui, alam mo ba iyang si Kalen? May gusto—"

"Cut the shit, Sirius!" Mabilis na lumundag at narating ni Kalen ang puwesto ng isang lalaki, padarag itong hinila palayo. Nagbulungan sila, "Do not expose me, and let me confess on my own! May sarili akong dila, hindi ba?"

"Rui is a vampire and has an enhanced senses, too, just like us. Mas matalas pa nga!" pasigaw na anas ni Sirius. Ikinawit nito ang braso sa leeg ni Kalen at pabiro siyang sinakal-sakal, "Your explicit reactions are betraying you as well. Exposed ka na talaga kaya ayos na iyan!"

"Fuck you. I thought we're brothers? Bakit nang-i-expose?"

"That's what brothers are for. Obviously, I'm helping you get your crush, gago. Ayaw mo pa?"

Inaasahan ko nang may kakaibang paghanga sa akin si Kalen, umpisa pa lamang. After all, I am not that dense enough to not know the specific things as this. I tend to observe every little detail surrounding me—may it be enigmatic or not. The way he acts around me is too different contrary when it comes to others, the blatant looks he tosses me are full of emotion, and the shifting of his tone when conversing with me will definitely not slip away from my senses.

It is somewhat cute, I must say. Except that I am not the type to entertain companions.

"I really thought that you, bloodsuckers, only consume blood and food like these meats are not your taste," Genesis, the werewolf kid, uttered with a hint of playfulness, "Bloodsuckers for a reason, you know?"

"Only the higher ones can consume solid foods. The ordinary vampires, which you called bloodsuckers, cannot. They tend to throw it up as their bodies are rejecting it," I blurted out.

Genesis looked up to me whilst chewing a piece of bloody meat, eyes widening in astonishment. Nang makabawi ay matinis itong tumawa, "Are you saying you are one of those higher vampires then?"

"Mismo, bata! They called us royals." It was Levi who mindlessly replied.

Others may find him boastful with his delivery and choice of words but he is certainly not. Sadyang ganiyan lamang ang nakasanayan niya.

Genesis cursed under her breath, obviously offended by Levi. Meanwhile, the others had no violent reaction at all and are not really oblivious in spite of being informed about it just now. We were hanging out for quite a while now, as never have we ever once opened this topic until this. Hindi rin naman sila nagtatanong. Ewan ko kung mga nahihiya ba, o masiyado lang talagang marespeto.

"I knew it from the start. You have this air of dominance... and I constantly get intimidated by you two despite the bond we formed," said by Brennon.

"Gene," Wilder said in his threatening tone. Even the other werewolves were pitching her a very serious look as if telling her to knock it off.
