To start off it isn't easy defeating your sin, but as a wrestler of God we are always suppose to try. Instead some people might complain about it, instead of taking action.

In my case I have trouble controlling my anger towards someone, and my ways of dealing with it, is that sometimes I would complain to a friend about it. Than at night when I am praying I would forget about it, like it wasn't a problem, and as I continue to deal with it daily, it gets to the point where I go overboard, I would put everything aside and finally repent and ask God for forgiveness. I should have been wrestling with it all along, but sometimes I wait to long and than it becomes a problem. You can't keep bread in the oven to long or it will burn.

Sometimes I pretend that I don't have a problem and keep it hidden in the shadows. But it is important that I don't because God said, we are the light, and that light cast out all the darkness

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Ephesians 5:1-2

But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, "Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light." Ephesians 5:13-14

We want to claim that we are died to sin, but why not live it?

It is important that we not treat are sin like a personal pet, a pet that will consume you and make you do bad things. Sounds dumb right? That we would let a pet control us? So don't!!!!! Because we are NOT slaves to sin and we have to start now living by it. Constantly make war.
