A few days have passed since then. Holding an important note in my hand, I walk through the corridor towards the meeting room. Because of the events that recently transpired, it's safe to assume that the high ranking members of the military are holding this meeting to discuss the future plans.
As I approach a wooden door, the soft sound of chatter fills the room. Once I knock on the door, the room falls silent. "Come in," Dhalis Zachary states. I slowly enter the room, feeling everyone's curious gazes. I carefully scan the room, noticing Levi and halting in my tracks, as we stare at each other like a deer in headlights.
Being surprisingly quick to recover, I step towards Erwin and hold out the paper. "Commander, one of the Squad Leaders wanted me to bring this message to you," I say respectfully. He nods, taking the note from my hands.
"Thank you."
I nod and then salute to him. Out of the corners of my eyes, I notice Levi staring at me. My cheeks flush as a small smile curves around my lips. "I apologize for the intrusion," I state before leaving the room and closing the door right behind me.
Later that day, I was summoned to Levi's office. I anxiously stand outside the room for a moment, wondering why he wanted to see me. Perhaps, I messed up on my cleaning duties? Or, maybe, he wants me to clean his office? Only one way to find out, I think to myself, knocking on the door.
"State your name and business."
"Abby Jeffries. You called for me, sir."
"Come in," he says. I enter the room and shut the door behind me. With his back facing the door, I slowly approach him. The floor creaks as I stop in front of his desk. "You requested for me, Captain Levi?" I ask.
He turns around to face me. "I thought I told you to call me Levi," the captain states, narrowing his eyes at me. I smile nervously as a slight pink tint forms on my cheeks. "O-Of course, Levi..." I stammer.
"As for the reason I called you here, let's go on a date," Levi says, causing my eyes to widen in surprise. "Get ready, and I'll pick you up in an hour." I stare at him in astonishment as my heart hammers within my chest.
"Alright!"
Excitement forms in the pit of my stomach as I take a few steps towards the door and shoot him one look before leaving his office. I hurry back to my room and then search through my closet for the perfect outfit. Within moments, I find a gorgeous, black and pink outfit. It looks like this:
I change into the outfit before heading to the restroom and putting on some foundation, powder, and mascara. Once I'm finished getting ready, a knock comes from my door. I look in the mirror one more time before rushing to the door.
I swing it open, being face to face with Levi. With his neatly brushed out hair and hands in his pockets, he wears a dark blue shirt, a black leather jacket, black pants, and red shoes. He looks exactly like this:
