It didn't take long for us to stop in front of the restaurant. The building was completely enormous, having a bunch of windows on every story and pillars in front of the door. The width of the restaurant was comparable to a football field, while the length of the building was about four stories high.
My heart hammers within my chest, as Levi takes my hand. "Come on, brat," he says softly, as we approach the restaurant. An uneasy feeling forms in the pit of my stomach, as I notice Floch and the Jaegerists heading towards the building. I purse my lips in concentration, as a soft wind blows against my hair. If anything, I've changed the order of events in this story because I rescued Levi and prevented Sasha from dying.
"Levi..." I murmur, which causes him to stop in his tracks. His eyes flash dangerously, as I tightly squeeze his hand. With my ODM gear, I send my wires to the rooftop of a nearby building, which propels us towards it.
Within seconds, we land safely on the nearby building. Levi, who now notices the incoming Jaegerists, pulls me close to his chest and ducks behind the chimney. As Levi intently stares at them, I hold my breath and try to remain as still as possible.
Once they enter the restaurant and the door closes behind them, Levi stands up and turns to look at me. "Oi, brat," he says in a surprisingly serious tone. "Would you mind telling me what they're doing here?"
I get to my feet and heave a sigh, before meeting his gaze. "I'm not exactly sure when it happened, but a new military group has emerged," I explain, as he furrows his eyebrows in concentration. "They call themselves the Jaegerists. Their goal is to reunite the Jaeger brothers and start the rumbling. They're also the ones responsible for the death of Dhalis Zachary. The reason I freaked out was because those military officials that just entered the restaurant were some of the Jaegerists."
"Tch."
"Along with that, it's safe to assume Hange and the others are already inside," I point out. Levi clicks his tongue, as I furrow my eyebrows in concentration. "I hate to say it, but we need to save those brats," Levi states.
I nod in agreement. "Before we barge in there, we need a plan," I say sternly. "Eren is the biggest threat. He possesses three titan abilities; however, I doubt he would transform into a titan with everyone inside the restaurant."
"Tch. That brat really isn't making this any easier on us."
I run a hand through my hair, trying to think of a good game plan. Even if we're able to sneak inside, we won't be able to avoid confrontation. However, if we manage to rescue the others, then our chance against the Jaegerists would drastically increase. At the same time, Levi and I could easily defeat the Jaegerists with no difficulty, but if Eren joined the fight, then our chances would diminish. First, our friends are being held captive. Second, we'll be completely outnumbered. Third, Eren knows some of our weaknesses and most likely will use that against us.
"I hate to say it, but I think our best bet is to wing it," I admit, before putting my hands on my hips. "We'll try to save as many people as possible. It'll be us against the world." Levi and I exchange a look, as smirks form on our lips.
"I wouldn't have it any other way, brat."
A few minutes later, we enter the restaurant. There were stairs at the entrance, with a gorgeous, red carpeting throughout the majority of the building. Hanging from the ceiling, there was a fancy, golden chandelier with some lights on it. We continue down the hall, until seeing a slightly cracked-open door. Levi and I peer into the room and immediately notice Hange, Jean, Connie, Falco, Niccolo, Sasha, and Sasha's family standing in the center of the room, being completely surrounded by Jaegerists.
