The Gold is Gone

As soon as Blue gets home she immediately jumps out of the car before her mom even puts it in park and runs over to John B's, knowing that's exactly where everyone is.

"Guys!" She yells running up to the three sitting on the porch. Blue explains what she heard and her theories about her dad and Ward. She plays the recording for them.

"So, this is proof!" JJ exclaims. Pope shakes his head. "No. This doesn't prove that Ward did anything, but it is proof that your dad had something to do with it." Pope explains which makes everyone go silent. Blue's dad really did help make John disappear and no one knows how to respond. "Okay, so we can't do anything about that. But we can go find John B and stop him from committing murder." Kiara says breaking the silence.

The four of them pile into the HMS POGUE and head over to the Cameron's hoping to stop John B before he does anything. Blue sits alone thinking about how her dad lied about being upset about big John, how he lied about caring for Big John, how he helped her moms best friend disappear. She really doesn't know her father at all and now she doesn't want to know. He took money to take a life, what type of person does that.

"What's wrong baby?" JJ asks sitting next to her. "Oh you know just thinking about how my dad is a murderer which none of you think is a big deal." Blue says shrugging. "We don't know what your dad did, but what we do know is that JB is about to do something bad." JJ tells her. He wraps her up in his arms hoping she'll fall asleep and not be so worried.

The boat stops at the Cameron's, Pope pulls out a pair of binoculars. "what now? We just go up to the front door and ask hey have you seen John B?" JJ asks getting impatient. "Look he lives at Tannyhill now. It's plausible. We can play dumb." Kiara suggests. "That's the worst idea ever." Blue chimes in. "We should go to the cops then." Kiara says throwing out another idea. Which is immediately shut down by all of them. "Oh yeah, we're worried about our friend because he's on a rampage." JJ scoffs. Everyone just keeps getting more and more angry and impatient, worried and scared. "I see Ward." Pope says breaking Kiara and JJ's argument. Blue takes the binoculars and sees Ward pacing in the window, she passes them to Kiara. "Doesn't look dead to me. Let's go home." Pope says. Everyone looks at him in disbelief that he could even suggest that when their friend is either in danger or a danger. "Look obviously Mr. Cameron is fine and if John B was here he isn't now and plus I have the biggest most important moment of my life in six hours." Pope explains. Blue agrees with him. "Well our friend is in trouble." Kiara scolds him. "Woah Kie, calm down. This is Popes future, besides John B will literally be fine." Blue says taking a stand next to Pope. "I haven't been home in three days. My dads probably put all my shit in the street by now." Pope says looking down. "So that's it? You're just gonna bail and walk away?" Kiara yells. "Kie calm down. Pope go home. We can stay o-" "Shut up Blue." Kiara cuts Blue off. "okay yo guys can we not do this right now?" JJ asks quietly. "Hey, I have a scholarship interview in the morning. I can't-" "What about John B?!"

Blue sighs and sits next to JJ, just watching Kiara and Pope fight. What has everything come to? They never used to yell or fight, it was just laughter and goofing off. No cops or arrests, and when one went missing they were passed out on the beach or surfing. Now it's John B is missing every five minutes, parents are murdered and others are murderers.

"Pope come on." JJ yells, knocking Blue out of her thoughts. "She has no room to talk." Pope says angrily say JJ. "Where were you when Big John went missing? You weren't there. You weren't there for any of us. Remember your Kook year? Yeah you forgot about us." Pope snaps at Kiara. She pushes him back. "Give me a break!" she yells at him. Blue sits there and watches, so absolutely done with everything. JJ jumps up to break up the fight. "Cut it out alright? If im the one mediating, we've hit rock bottom. Bow, now." JJ speaks loudly. Pope walks to Blue and takes a seat next to her.

"Don't feel bad for prioritizing yourself. How are we supposed to continuously help John B when he goes missing every five seconds?" Blue whispers to Pope resting her head on his shoulder. Pope looks at her and smiles. "Thanks." He says softly. "As much as I love JB, he's just not with us anymore, but we still need to stick together and support each other." Blue continues as they reach Popes place. "Don't worry about anything else, but your interview, we've got JB covered. Good luck." Blue smiles at him as he hops off the boat. JJ drops Kiara off at home and the two head back to Blue's.

Blue doesn't say a word on the way back to her house, still angry at Kiara for the things she said to Pope. Although Kiara never said anything about or to Blue, she still got angry at the words.

"What's wrong with you?" JJ asks steering the small boat through the dark water. "Kie just pissed me off. Like sure John B's in trouble, but when is he not? It can't always be our job to help him, especially when we all have our own things going on. Pope has an interview that will determine the rest of his life and not to mention my dad being a possible murderer which everyone seemed to skip over." Blue rambles on angrily. She sighs as she waits for a response from JJ. "We don't know for sure if your dad did anything. All we know is that he and Ward are working together." JJ shrugs and turns the boat off as they reach the dock. Blue gets up to get out of the boat when she sees a body laying there. "Uh JJ, someone's right there." She whispers grabbing his arm. There's no light and the body doesn't move, both immediately think it's a dead body. "Stay here." He says and gets up. JJ slowly approaches the still body. "What the hell? Where have you been JB?" JJ yells bending down and shaking the sleeping boy. Blue lets out a sigh of relief and gets out. John B jolts awake to see his two friends leaning over him.

"Guys, the gold is gone."
