I slammed my locker shut, locking it with my key before putting it in my Blazer pocket. "That's all the books I need at the moment Skye" I said.
"Thank God we have lockers, I don't know how I would carry round all the books we have when I don't even need them. Why can't the teachers just keep them?" Skye ranted.
"We have loads of homework this week silly, that's why we have most of them; we need to write in our class books!" I giggled.
"Oh. Well you know what I mean, teachers still give us our class books even when we don't need them, why would I want it? Do they think I'm going to do extra school work? Yeah right as if I'd ever do that!" Skye joked.
Someone cleared their throat behind us. I spun round on my feet to see Elsa standing there looking smug. "What got you looking so smug Blondie?" Skye asked.
"You two, talking about class books and homework, you're both such nerds!" Elsa replied. Of course she'd say that! Who else would care for what we talk about? I don't know why she bothers.
"Why do you care so much Elsa? Jealous that we are smarter than you, are we?" I said.
"Pfft! Me, jealous? Good one Nerd! Why would I care about work, when I could be getting a manicure, or go to the spa? I'd rather sit in a bin then be brainy!" Blondie stated.
Typical. She defends her stupid statement with another stupid statement. Just when I thought she couldn't make herself seem any more stupid.
"What do you want Elsa?" Skye sighed.
"I just thought I'd tell you nerds to watch out." She spat before turning on her heel and walking away, disappearing into the now crowded corridor."I wonder what that was all about." Skye muttered, frowning.
"Don't you see Skye? She's warning us, telling us to watch our backs; it looks like she's on some mission to make my life worse than it already is! I screeched.
"okay, okay calm down- wait Sophia, your eyes - they've ch-changed c-colour." Skye stuttered. "What? Are you joking?" I shrieked.
"N-no I'm not, look here." Skye said handing me her mirror from her pocket. I peered into it and my eyes widened before I began to whisper. "They really have." I handed the mirror back to Skye in shock. What is happening to me? Suddenly a thought comes to mind. "Wait Skye, I've got an explanation, my first shift is in two months right? Well, it's probably just something to do with that, don't worry about it." I reassure Skye and myself.
"Oh right of course, probably." She replied reassured, but still sounding skeptical.
"Come on let's go, we need to get to registration now otherwise we'll be late!" I hurried along pulling Skye with me.
"Sooophiiia!" Skye whined "I can walk myself you know, and this is a new top so don't pull on it!"
"Right whatever." I muttered, letting go of her arm, "But I'll blame you if we're late!"
We finally reached our form room and walked in sitting down together. Unfortunately for us we have Elsa in our form and whenever she has the chance the queen bee always makes a few snide remarks for the ten minutes she is with us. The teacher is constantly telling her to stop, but blondie never listens so in the end it wasn't worth threatening her because she just gives back what she gets. Usually in the form of threats with her stating: "My Daddy has a lot of money, my parents are also your Alpha and as you probably already know you can do a lot. Maybe even make someone lose their job you know?" The whole thing being said in a sickly sweet tone.
The teacher just swallowed when she said this and nodded, ever since then she just ignores Elsa's actions.
Elsa's parents being the Alphas means that she can get away with doing anything. Her parents practically run the school! A lot of teachers just choose to turn a blind eye to everything she does, it has gone way too far now though. Sometimes she stops the teachers from even doing their lessons, we need to learn and we can't do that with her around. She's practically a clone of her parents, rubbish at leading but only there for the money, or whatever it is they get out of it. I'm so surprised another Alpha hasn't challenged her dad by now it would be such an easy fight. That is for the other Alpha, I mean. Something bad is going to happen to the pack soon. The pack is only still going strong because of the money, God knows how we're one of the most powerful packs - no one ever does any exercise.
After having the register taken we all got up and went to our next lesson, luckily for me Skye is in most of the same classes as me as well as Callie, so I always have someone to sit with. We had maths as our first lesson so we walked to our maths room chattering about random things. We went into the classroom and sat down waiting for Miss Chatam to speak. "Right class, today we are going to be doing graphs!" She said cheerfully. The whole class groaned. "Why do we have to do this miss?" Elsa whined. "What else are we going to do Elsa? We've done everything else and were moving on to something new, whether you like it or not!" Miss Chatam stated. This was the reason I liked her so much, she wasn't a pushover like the other teachers. Blondie shut her mouth looking like she wanted to reply something rude so badly to her. A frown came upon her face. She noticed us all staring at her and shouted "what you looking at weirdoes? Especially you. Nerd." She added, glaring at me. If only looks could kill, I thought to myself, I'm sure I would be dead by now. I really don't get it, everyone else is staring and she chooses me out of all of them to pick on. I sigh, wondering for all my life why on earth she chooses to be like this towards me. Why on earth is it always me everything happens to? Why? If only I could know what goes through her head. I think really hard for an explanation.
"Why must she be so pretty?" I suddenly heard. My concentration suddenly snapped. "What? Who are you talking about Skye?" I said confused. Skye turned to look at me, confusion written all over her face. "What on earth at you on about Sophia?" Skye asked.
"You said, "Why must you be so pretty?" And I said, who?"
"No I didn't." She replied extremely confused.
"Really? I thought you said something." I mumbled, confused myself now. I turned back to face the front and went back to my thoughts. "Eurghh, she annoys me so much, she has all those friends and yet she gets bullied and is a nerd!" I snapped my head round to look at Skye. Not a word had left her mouth; her attention was fully on Miss Chatam. I frowned, where the hell was that voice coming from? I looked round the class; no one had spoken, or at least looked like they had heard what I did. There is only one option though, I'm hearing voices. "Why can't I be clever like Sophia?" I hear again. Wait a minute, the voice sounds strangely like Elsa's. Why am I hearing her voice in my head? Oh god I'm going crazy! I start to panic, I jump up out of my seat, "Sorry miss, I've really got to go." I run out the classroom after grabbing my stuff, what the hell is going on? Is this some kind of joke? But it can't be, Skye definitely didn't hear anything. I ran through the corridors ignoring the confused glanced from random people that are not in class. I run outside and out the gates, I walk down the pavement hugging my blazer around me, the rain has stopped now, but it's freezing! I stop at a bench nearby and collapse onto it afraid and cold. Wait a minute, what the hell am I doing? I've just run out of school, of class for that matter and now I'm sitting on a bench outside, freezing! Oh no what will Skye think? I'm going to get into so much trouble!
What am I doing worrying about these things?, I've just been hearing voices in my head for crying out loud, maybe Elsa's voice for that matter. Oh god I'm finally going insane!
And I thought this was just another normal day.
