"I thought you guys learned this lesson last time?" Leila asked the boys, shaking her head, "Never let Luke write anything that'll be shown to the public."
It was an actual rule they had, Alex even had to help him write out his assignments because the teachers couldn't understand his writing.
Now it was obvious they should've kept the rule even as ghosts.
Julie chuckled awkwardly, walking away from the groups, the pink one huffed and walked away.
Leila stood in the crowd with the boys as Julie got on stage, "You ready to join us yet?" Luke asked with a grin.
She shook her head, "I wish I could." Leila responded honestly. The boys didn't know what that meant but went silent as Julie began to speak.
"Hi," she chuckled awkwardly at her piano, "it's actually Julie and The Phantoms." she told the crowd, nobody seemed to care.
"Okay..." Julie said, Flynn turning on the "projector" with a thumbs up.
Julie began to play Finally Free on the piano, "Hearts on Fire, we're no liars, so we say what we wanna say," Leila was once again reminded how talented the girl was, just like her mom used to be, Leila smiled softly from the crowd, "I'm awakened, no more fakin' so we push all our fears away, don't know if I'll make it cause I'm falling under,"
"Close my eyes and feel my chest beating like thunder," Julie sang, "I wanna fly, come alive," the piano began to get more upbeat as Julie's voice grew louder, "Watch me shine!"
The boys appeared on stage with a clap from Julie, she took her mic out and stood, "I've got a spark in me, hands up if you can see," she sang with Luke as she joined him at the center of the stage, Leila's smile grew, "and you're a part of me, hands up if you're with me," the band hadn't had very many peoples attention before however now with all the band revealed and the song taking a more upbeat tune, many were dancing to it and whistling if they were astonished by the boys' appearance.
"Now till eternity, hands up if you're with me, been so long and now we're finally free-" Leila had always loved this song however now it seemed like a cold sort of reminder that she was not free. She wouldn't be free, because the only time she was truly free was when she sang and danced, and the only place she could do that as a ghost was at the club, and she was not going back there.
"We're all bright now, what a sight now, coming out like we're fireworks," Julie sang with a smile, tapping her tambourine to her leg on the beat, "Marching on proud, turn it up loud, cause now we know what we're worth."
