{1} Grace Got Adopted

My name is Lilith but I prefer Lily, I'm 13 years, when I was 4 my parents died in a accident. Since then I lived in a orphanage.

I'm pretty shy and I have social anxiety so it's very hard to find a friend. In all this years i just have made a friend, Grace. Even though we are best friends I have a personal room. Because it makes me feel more comfortable being alone.

Miss Collins, the one that deals with me and some other kids, is very sweet but when I break the rules she can be very angry.

I am currently on my bed writing, I love writing, it's a way to escape from the world and a way to decide my life. I hear a knock on the door, "come in!" I say not looking up, "hey Lilith, I was wondering if you could go at the mall and take some food?" Miss Collins enters and she sits next to me in the small bed, "sure, I can go" I respond quickly while closing my book, "perfect, here is the list of things I need, thank you Lilith" she gives me the list and she leaves.

I take my shoes and I leave.
Today it's a really sunny day, it's pretty hot but I don't mind.
I enter in the mall and take everything that Miss Collins asked.
Then I decide to go for a walk before going back at the orphanage.

I walk for like 2 hours and then I stop at a park and I sit down. I look around, there's no one. I stay there for a little more and then I leave because the sky is turning dark.

I arrive at the orphanage and give the things to Miss Collins before going upstairs. I walk into my room only to find Grace sitting on my bed looking at her phone.
"hey Grace what are you doing here?" I ask her while taking my pajamas. "I was waiting you to come back, I need to tell you something!" "okay but first let me change". I go into the comun bathroom and change, then I go back to my room and sit next to Grace on the bed.

"so what do you want to tell me Grace?" I ask her, "well, do remember that Miss Collins said that there was a possibility for me to be adopted? Well today, while you were at the mall, a family came here and they asked to see some girls, and well...... They chose me..."; I was in shock, my best friend and only friend was going to leave me! After all these years! I could feel the tears forming in my eyes but I hold them back and say "well I'm happy for you, really, w-when do you leave?" "tomorrow morning, I'm gonna go to my room now, good night Lily.." "wait! Stay with me, please, for the last time" I say to her with puppy eyes. She agrees and we both get in bed.
