Elle's POV

I never thought I could meet Gilbert in such an embarassing way but it's a good thing as I was able to say my thanks to him for this job I have as of now.

"Elle, everybody's having their lunch. Aren't you going to have one?" Matt said as he was about to leave for lunch.

"I'm okay. I'll have my lunch later on. You guys go first." I answered as I focused head on the document I'm working on.

"Okay, then." Matt replied as I heard the door of the office closing.

I immersed myself into that document that I haven't noticed my phone ringing non stop not until it was almost past the lunch break that I paused to stretch my arms.

"Okay that should be that last one. I'll just have to print it and send it to Miss Natalie's office." I muttered to myself when my workmates just came in.

"You haven't left for lunch yet, Elle?" Violet asked as she sipped on her slushie.

"Oh, I was about to. I'll just wait for this document to be printed for me to send it to Miss. She told me it was urgent so I had to finish it this morning." I explained as I went to grab the printed document.

"Is it so urgent that you didn't even recognized your phone ringing?" Neil asked as he turned on his computer.

"Oh, I was too focused to even notice," I answered shyly.

"Matt was calling you to ask if you can't have lunch then we'll have them pack one for you. Here, have this before you continue on with your work. It's not good to work with an empty stomach ya know," Violet explained as she passed me the packed lunch.

"Is it so urgent that you can't even have lunch?" Jane asked.

"Mhm, I asked for a leave this afternoon that's why." I honestly told them as I fixedthe documents as well as my things and turned off my computer.

"Is something the matter?" Matt worriedly asked.

"Oh nothing. I was just going to visit my parents. Afterall, it's their death anniversary today." I explained and grabbed my bag. "I'll see you guys on Monday. Have a nice weekend." I waved at them as I moved out of the department and went to see Miss Natalie.

(knock on the door)

"Come in," said the voice from inside.

"Miss, I have the documents you asked me to work on. I've also translated it and pointed out the errors in the document. Also, I've even included some ideas to improve the plan. Kindly check if it's appropriate." I explained and handed the files to Miss.

"Okay, I'll check on them soon as I finish with this one. You have with you your card right?" Miss Natalie asked.

"Yes, Miss."

"How long will you be leaving?" she asked making me look at her for a moment.

"Oh, until the end of this weekend if possible." I answered.
