Even walks into Dani's room, poking and picking up random objects. Eventually she makes her way to the blonde's bed and sits down.

Dani gives her a weird look as if to ask 'why are you here?'

"You're mom let me in. Is it weird that I want to get to know my neighbors?" Even questions, picking up a stuffed animal.

Dani snatched the toy from Even and places it behind her pillow, adjusting herself into a sitting up position.

"I guess not," Dani shrugs, looking everywhere except the brunet in her room.

Even sighs. "Your sister seems nice."

Dani frowns. "I don't have a sister." She replies bluntly.

Even furrows her brows. "Well she wasn't your mom."

"No, he is my brother," Dani grunts, clearly upset. Of course Ollie doesn't exactly pass. Their mom isn't very supportive, even though she doesn't even know.

"Oh," Even smiles. "Sorry. Well he seems nice."

Dani smiled. "So you said you wanted to know your neighbors. What do you want to know."

"That's not how conversations work," Even grins, placing a pillow behind her back against the wall.

"I'm an open book. Ask away," Dani is never open. She doesn't like sharing things, even with her closest friends. But she trusts Even, for god knows why.

Even stays silent for a moment. "How old are you?"

Dani frowns at the boring question. "I turned 18 over summer."

"Oh cool. I turn 18 in February," Even smiles warmly.

They continue asking questions from their favorite colors to the most embarrassing stories they can think of.

Dani's eyes widen when she notices the time. "You should probably go."

Even sits up from her place on the floor and glances at the clock. 11:23 pm.

"Damn, I guess you're just interesting,"

Dani smiles at the compliment and begins to walk to the door, but Even walks to the window.

"Dude-" Dani shakes her head, smiling.

Even opens the window and begins climbing out.

"Bye creep,"

"Bye Evan,"

Even frowns at the mispronunciation of her name and closes the window behind her. She salutes with two fingers and climbs down the slope of the roof into her own window.

Dani gives herself a lopsided grin in the mirror. She is wearing a green/tan plaid shirt and a white crop top with a brown sweater over it. Her nails are painted black and she quickly tries to apply eyeliner.

"Hurry up!" Ollie calls from the other room.

Dani never dresses up, but she wants to today. Maybe to look good for her new friend. In a platonic way.

"I'm doing my makeup dipshit," Dani screams, applying a light layer of blush.

"Dani watch your language. And be nice to your sister," Jennifer, Dani's mom, yells up the stairs.

Ollie plops down on the blonde's bed dramatically.

"Since when do you want to be early to school?" Dani questions, tying her old brown converse.
