Chapter 11

"Alright little brownie, why did you do." You say.

"We didn't do anything!" It's squeaks back at you.

"Yes you did stop lying! Do you want me to squeeze it out of you!" You ask threateningly.

"Ok ok!" It shouts surrendering. "We saw you fighting and wanted to have some fun!" He says.

"But what did you do." You say again angrily.

"Hey! Don't hurt my friend you ugly human!" The other brownie yells from the ground.

You look down at the other brownie.

"Don't worry I won't hurt your friend, he's just got to tell me what you two did." You say threateningly.

"We used some love powder on your boyfriend." The other brownie says.

"He's not my boyfriend!" You shout. "And you used love powder on him!?"

"Sorry lady, we were just having fun." The brownie in your hand says.

You sigh and set him down, they look up at you as you ask, "is there a way to reverse it?"

"Not that we know of." One says shrugging.

You yell angrily and stand up as the brownies scurry back into their hole laughing. You turn back and look at V who stares at you smiling sweetly.

"Your so cute when you're mad." He says.

You ignore him and open the barn door, it stopped raining a little while ago but it's still dark and wet outside. You shut it again and turn around bumping right into V.

"Don't go out there Y/N, why don't you stay inside with me?" He says pushing you lightly against the barn door.

You feel your face flush again and you duck out from under his arms and run to the other side of the room.

"Alright V, here's how it's gonna be." You say strongly.

"I'm sleeping there." You say pointing to the hay pile.

"And your sleeping there." You say as you point to the other side of the barn.

"Aww, what?" V says cutely pouting. "What If you get cold? You're perfect for snuggling."

"If you come within 2 feet of me while I'm sleeping, I'll cut your throat." You say threateningly.

"Ok then, I'll respect your wishes," V says smiling as he walks over to where you told him to sleep. "But I can't promise I'll control myself forever."

You look at him threateningly and run your finger over your neck in a slicing fashion. He just smiles and settles down closing his eyes.

You walk over to your hay bail and look one more time back at V to make sure he's far enough away from you before you turn on your side to sleep.

You close your eyes but are distracted by the loud beating of your heart against your chest. Your face flushes embarrassed, as you take calming breaths.

It was just because I was angry. You think to yourself as you calm down and quickly fall asleep.

The next morning you wake up and stretch your arms. You sit up, rub your eyes and look around. Morning light shines through a small window at the top of the barn you didn't notice yesterday.

But what surprised you more than the window, was V sitting on a hay bale staring silently at you as he bites down on an apple with a loud crunch.

You jump, startled, and roll your eyes.

"What are you doing V?" You ask as you walk over to your bag and grab a thick slice of bread.

"Watching you sleep, you look so pretty." He says as he takes another bite out of his apple.

You stop and look at him confused, then you remember everything that happened last night. You groan into your hands and flop on the floor.

"Don't be upset hun," V says as he walks over to you.

You look at V curiously and ask, "how do you feel today V?"

He smiles and says, "I feel so happy, especially because I'm here with you."

You sigh and bite into your bread. So he is love-possessed. You take another bite of bread as you think, no one has ever been in love with me before, is this what it is like?

You look up at V and ask, "do you love me?"

He clutches his heart and smiles down at you saying, "with all my being."

You look away from him embarrassed and continue eating your bread. You hear soft scurrying and see the two brownies from last night walking timidly over to you and V.

"What do you two want." You say annoyed as you lean back against the barn wall and take a bite of bread.

"We were wondering if we could have some food?" One asks a little timidly.

"No way!" You yell at them.

"Oh Y/N don't be so mean sweetie, look at these poor hungry creatures," V says as he hands them some of his bread.

"well thanks, mister!" The brownie says as he takes the chunk of bread that's twice the size of his head, and hands some to his friend.

"So what are your names?" V asks them.

"My name is Rolt, and this is Soy." The brownie says as he takes a huge mouthful out of his chunk of bread.

"Hi!" Soy says as he also digs into his bread.

"Is this your barn?" V asks them as he takes a drink of water.

"Yes, it is," Rolt says.

"Well thank you for letting us stay here for the night," V says smiling.

You roll your eyes and say, "That's not all they did last night."

Soy and Rolt laugh as V asks them, "what happened last night?"

"They put a love spell on you." You say annoyed.

"What?" V says surprised.

"Yes, we did!" Rolt says as he turns and high-fives Soy.
