M I N R A E"You have my number saved. Why didn't you call me?" Taehyung questioned with both his hands resting on either side of his hips. Even if the question was for me, he didn't dare to take his piercing glare away from the other celestial being, who did the same.
"There was no need to"
"Yes, but—"
"I remember everything, Taehyung. The past that connects me to him"
"Minrae, that's the whole point. I have been assigned to you for your safety from him. You have to talk to me about these things."
"Please, she is a grown woman" Jimin responded. "She can take care of herself"
"I wasn't talking to you"
"I don't need your permission to talk"
"Your ugly face wouldn't last a second if I decide to hit you with lightening"
"Your sorry ass wouldn't be able to kill even a fly"
The minute we crossed roads, both Taehyung and Jimin wouldn't stop bickering among themselves. Sometimes it got to a point that I wasn't even physically present, and all the two arrogant men would do is talk over each other.
Though Jimin was my only patient to assist in my time in here, there were a few cases that had come into my schedule and I had to take turns like I would back in America to treat them.
So apart from the crazy work schedule, almost dying by falling from a twenty-story building, learning about a brother in my life and dealing with a clueless flirt Demon, my whole day couldn't get any more tiresome and exhausting. My patience was at the peak of its existence. It was only a matter of time before I go to hell for killing two celestial beings, immortal or not.
"STOP IT!" I yelled and both men flinched in complete shock.
"I'm going home" I announced, leaving the two baffled men on their own and walking the opposite direction to catch a taxi.
"I'll drive you, my car is just parked the other side" Taehyung offered.
"No, Taehyung. I'm not going back to my hospital room. There is an apartment I had rented in case. I'm going there. I need a break from that place"
"But" Taehyung interrupted, holding out his hand and blocking me from walking ahead. "You have your own room there. That's where you stayed till now"
"Yes, but I don't want to today. Why is that so bad" I retorted with an annoyed tune.
"You will be out of my sight" he replied with agony in his voice. "I won't be able to protect you"
"Here we go with this same bullshit again" Jimin responded, rolling his eyes.
Taehyung shared a nasty glare at Jimin before softly looking back at me. "And besides, you both share the same energy now. How can I just let the two of you on your own under the same roof? Especially" He paused to glare at the Demon again. "Considering how much I know Jimin around woman, there is no way I will allow of it"
With everything happening around, it had eventually slipped my mind about Jimin explaining to me how our energies balance each other and that it is very important for him to be beside me at all costs. However, I didn't want to go back to the hospital again. My head felt like it would explode at the very thought of it. And Taehyung's concerns were very genuine and I would never question them either. I took a moment to glace at Jimin who noticed how confused I was.
"I will be at my best behavior, darling"
"Right! Shut it, Jimim" Taehyung spat.
"You don't even start—"
