Chapter 11

*1 week later*

It was the last day of me staying at Ranboo's before my dad got home, my step-mother was still texting me and threatening me.

"Hey, so i'm meant to go back today, hoping my step-mom will leave" I said to Ranboo

"Yea, please text, call me or just show up if you need me. Anytime" He said hugging me

"I will" I wrapped my arms around his shoulders

*Ding dong*

"Welp, my dads here" I said picking up my bag

We walked to the door together and looking through the peep hole to make sure it was actually my dad.

"Hey dad" I said, opening the door

"Hey kiddo, how are you?" He asked

"Yeah, i'm ok" I told him

"Max right?" He asked reaching his hand out to Ranboo

"Yes sir" He said shaking his hand back

"Thank you for keeping my kid safe" He said to him

"Anytime"

"We best get going" My dad said

"ok"

"I'll be waiting in the car" Dad said

I turned around to Ranboo, we both went in for a hug. His arms going around my waist and mine around his neck. We hugged for a few minutes until i had to go.

"Bye" I said walking out

"Bye" He said closing the door behind me.

I hopped into the car

"Hey dad" i said

"Hey kid, so what happened with linda?"

"Basically i was at the Mall with Alex, she called me and yelled at me to come home because I had chores to do so i went home. When i got home she told me to go into the living room and then slapped me, i asked why and she said i was meant to be at home doing chores and listed everything i needed to do. I then said 'I'm not your fucking slave whilst dad's gone' and she pushed me down to the floor and started kicking me. She got bored and went upstairs which was my cue to go upstairs pack a bag and leave"

"I'm sorry hun, i'll talk to her yeah?"

"Just talk to her? I thought you wanted to divorce her?"

"I don't know, maybe. I'll think about it" He said

"Fine, whatever." I said turning and looking out the window.

We drove home and hopped out the car, i grabbed my bag from the car and walked up to the door. Dad unlocked it and went in first.

"Where we- Oh hi daniel!" Linda said noticing my dad

"Hi hun" he leant in kissing her cheek

I scoffed in annoyance and stomped upstairs

2 hours later my dad came upstairs

"So hey kid, i spoke to Linda. I'm breaking up with her. I told her i'm not going to let someone treat my kid right. I'm also reporting her to the police for abuse, if you're happy to?"

"Good. Yea fine by me" I said still annoyed at dad's response when I got into the car earlier

He stood up and walked out my room, not bothering with dealing with my attitude.

I got my phone out and decided to see if Ranboo was busy.

"Hey BooBoy"

"Don't call me thattt" He dragged out the T

"Finee"

"How's things with your dad and step-mom go"

"good and bad"

"Explain?"

"Ok so when i got into the car my dad said that he probably wouldn't end up breaking up with Linda because he wanted to see her side which pissed me off. We got home and he acted like everything was okay and nothing happened which annoyed me even more so I just went into my bedroom. My dad just came in and said he was actually gonna break up with Linda and she should be gone in a few days. So i'm probably just gonna camp out in my room until she's gone" I explained the whole story to him

"I'm so sorry Apollo, that's really crappy of them."

"We spoke for a few hours until i ended up falling asleep on facetime whilst he streamed.
