Sukuna jumped high into the air, while the blood dragon's eyes were following his every move. Although the cave was rather spacious, most of it was now filled with the body of the gigantic dragon and there was not much room for big movements.
The moment Sukuna landed his first hit, the body of the dragon splattered into every direction and the liquid form just closed the gap again like a river would do, after a stone had disturbed the surface.
Now it was the dragons turn to attack, who did not seem to have any problems with its size inside the cave, because the body adapted as easily to it as one would expect from a liquid shape.
Still, the moment its tail swung towards Sukuna the impact was not at all like it came from something fluid. The blow made Sukuna fly through the air and he only barely made it to intercept the collision with the wall behind him. With his legs he absorbed the shock and used the momentum to fly straight back into the dragon's direction.
For a whole minute Megumi was only staring at the scene in shock, until Sukuna called over to him.
"I could use a little help here!"
Brought back to his senses Megumi called one of his shikigami, that he deemed to be of help, if only as a distraction.
The black Divine Dog jumped straight at the beast and buried it's fangs into the dragon's neck. Other than Sukuna's hit, this time it seemed to have an effect, as if the shikigami could actually touch its true form that was hidden by the blood flowing around it.
"Nice one!" Sukuna cheered and touched back down next to Megumi. However the dragon immediately realized that Megumi was controlling the shikigami and went straight to attack the raven haired man, who only barely made it to avoid a hit.
There was not enough room inside the cave to call Nue as well, since it could only attack from the ground and not fly up into the air. While the dog lunged several additional times at the dragon, the latter soon became annoyed of the dog and started to scream. In this moment the dragon's body became aflame and soon enough the poor shikigami, not able to withstand the heat, vanished into nothingness.
"Shit!" Megumi cursed. Now they not only had a blood dragon to fight, but also a burning one. The air inside the cave became horribly thin and Megumi could feel how the temperature inside the cave rose up to an unhealthy degree.
If only they could somehow lure the dragon out of the cave, but unfortunately its tail was blocking the way out.
Suddenly seemingly out of nowhere a shower of ice rained down on the dragon, who naturally screamed out in terror and slashed with the tail into every possible direction.
Searching for the source of the attack Megumi soon realized that it was coming from Uraume. During the blood ritual Megumi had already forgotten that he had been with them inside the cave and right now he was kind of glad that he was still there.
The ice had effectively extinguished the flames for now and the dragon's body was smoking. In addition he also seemed to have become a little slower.
"Now!" Megumi called over to Sukuna and both of them jumped into the air for a combined attack.
When their fists made contact it actually looked very promising, but this time they just simply fell through the stream of blood the dragon was made of, like they had jumped in and out of a pond.
"What should we do?" Megumi asked no one in particular while he was spitting out blood and wiping the sticky liquid from his face. The smell made him nauseous, but he tried to ignore it for now.
Sukuna's four red eyes were still fixed on the dragon and especially on the black coffin it was guarding.
"Combined Domain Expansion!" Sukuna replied, while dodging one of the dragon's claws that shot out at him.
