I woke up a couple hours later, maybe days? I was only awake for a few seconds before the door creaked open and Dabi flipped on the lights. I curled up and shielded my eyes from the brightness before I heard the cage being unlocked. I sat up immediately and looked at him. I was about to snap at him until I realized he had water, food, and a jacket for me.
"What the hell is this?"
"It's food and water, be happy I'm being this nice. Usually I'd just give you water. Now, would you like a bath or not? It's just me here since the others are finding a new base."
"Y-yeah, sure..."
I got up and Dabi grabbed my hand, dragging me to his bathroom. He's actually holding my hand?! He's supposed to be rude to me I thought? My thoughts were broken when I felt a hand snake up my torso and I shivered from how cold it was.
"The hell?-"
"Shut up. I'm showering with you so I make sure you get cleaned properly."
I turned as red as my feathers and let him remove my clothes and put me under the soothing water before he shortly walked in too and stood behind me. He grabbed a shampoo bottle and squirted some on my hair and started to wash it.
"Uhm... So, uh, what's your real name..?"
"I'll tell you when the time is right."
"Ok, then..."
...
We got done taking a shower and I got dressed, walking out and waiting for Dabi. He came out shortly after and grabbed my hand, leading me to his room. He surprisingly had bunk beds which relieved me. I climbed to the top bunk since he said he had the bottom one. I curled up under the blankets and let out a small 'Ah' and stretched out. I never felt so relaxed before. I shoved my nose in the pillow since it had his scent along with another one. I looked down at him and smiled.
"Thank you for being so nice to me. I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"For being a complete ass."
"Tsk, whatever Bird Brain."
I smiled once again before falling asleep. And for once I had a dreamless rest. I hugged the pillow, wishing it was Dabi's warm, soft body.
