Newt's Crank Queen

You had been avoiding telling Newt about how you were slowly losing yourself to the flare. You had promised to stick by him whenever times got tough but you were about to fail everything youd ever said. It would even be hard for you to tell your best friend, Minho but of course you had to. It would be easier on yourself and them. You couldnt let the guilt of hiding it eat away at you.

'Im going to tell him' You think to yourself and walk over to Newt. He is laughing at a dumb joke Thomas had made. He looked so happy and you were about to take that all away, "Newt I need to tell you something", You breathed. He stood up, a look of concern washed over his face, "Of course, anything y/n", He says. You grab his hand and lead him away from the others, "Newt, I tried to stop it but....", You roll up your sleeve, the visuals explained it better, "Im losing myself", You say, tears sting your eyes, threating to spill over your cheeks, Newt had already lost it and had tears steaking his cheeks, "I shouldve told you", He says, "Told me what", You grip his hands, theyre cold in yours, "Your not the only one losing yourself", He says. At this the tears spill and your almost at the point of sobbing, "Well no matter who goes first... I'll be your crank queen", You say and put your arms around him, pecking him on the cheek, "Dont be scared", He whispers into your hair, "One day, together, we're going to paint the sky and lead our future", He says and falls to the ground, collapsing. Maybe you were too late, "I love you y/n. Dont you forget that", He kisses you on the head. As he loses his colour he presses a piece of paper into your hand. You let out a silenced sob and thats it.

You only had a short time left, you knew it but Newt's time was shorter. One day you would paint the sky.

A/N: Shit guys that one was hard for me to write! I have so many more imagines planned and im sorry for a strong focus on Newt. He is my bae so... I almost cried at this because I still havent truly accepted his death. I love him so much. 

Im going to do an imagine of this sort for the others as well but im not sure when, probably sometime today!! Hope you enjoyed this!!
