okay, this one is kind of a fever dream..i don't know. like i did like it, but i was expecting something different when reading it, and there were some parts that were very hard to read.
maybe homophobic mc's aren't my favorite thing to read about or the whole "i'm straight but i like you" thing, it's kinda cheesy and while it can happen, i just feel like we should have more diversity in this category because this type of relationship is very common.
it's the openly gay and straight guy or the closeted gay and heartbroken curious one.
don't get me wrong, i enjoy books like this, but i didn't really enjoy the way these characters were portrayed.
i also didn't really like any of the characters, like, at all.

their relationship was overly rocky and toxic in my opinion, but it slowly got increasingly better towards the end i guess. i really don't like jamie's character because, well, he did cheat and he could've cared more for scar and chose NOT to do it whether it was because of the money or not. he's clearly enjoying it when you read it and that disgusts me, i just feel like no one can grow from that but at least he told scar i guess.

it was well-written for a 1st person book, i usually don't like how those are written because i feel like some people write that way just to have an easy and safe route when 1st pov is even harder to write than 3rd person. in my opinion, of course.
the chemistry was okay, but the storyline was unique, so i'll give it that.
it wasn't anything like the straight kissing booth surprisingly, and doesn't have 2 other books either.
it could've had a WAY better title since i feel like the whole kissing booth thing wasn't very important to the plot idk i read it a while ago. then again, if it wasn't called the kissing booth, then there couldn't be a kissing booth ig
(i mean, im kinda guilty for this too bc in my book, idek if the title really makes sense after the first couple of chapters but it sounds nice so)
