i read this book before it went up for payment, i had read it when it had the red cover of the dude with the white shirt, so i didn't pay for it bc im broke as shit.
anyway, i really liked this book, genuinely. i went into it with the mentality that it was going to be super cheesy since it was about vampires and werewolves but honestly, it exceeded my expectations.
even my mom had read it, and she usually only reads straight shit yk
the characters i just adore, and a lot of the situations are exactly like ones you'd find in a coming of age or teen romance which i think was definitely the right move for this type of mystical thing. as i'm writing, everything is coming back to me and LORD is there so much story in this. there's more than one conflict like you think you're done and then something else happens that you kind of expected but are still surprised nonetheless.
i also really like the names and can perfectly picture their faces (also, there's a certain other lgbt representative couple that im happy about)
i LOVE that the author made the female characters actually nice characters instead of making me hate them which is usually how it is in most lgbt stories or there just isn't any female characters at all.
i'd say it's pretty accurate with the whole gay thing and ik i said i don't like the whole "i'm straight but like you" trope but this story just does it so well. they express that they don't date men but they can't control the love yk.
also, the names for the characters slap.
all in all, love this book, highly recommend if you want to pay for it, it's well-written as well.
