Mini AU where the infection never happened, how Y/n would meet Ethan Harry and Zion

At Ethan, Zion and Harry's school

It was Friday when Y/n would visit one of the most powerful high schools in town for the last volleyball tournament that season before their break.

She'd been to a basic, medium class in the hierarchy of which school was the best.

Not that she was complaining, Y/n liked the calming and small atmosphere.. though their gym was huge compared to others.

Although.. her school had been a little more recognizable after her years of winning tournaments on a boys volleyball team.

Y/n was interested in the sport in freshman year with Judy, but both had failed to join the club as they'd only been there a year and hardly knew where any of the bathrooms were.

Sophomore year, Y/n basically had to argue with over five teachers trying to get into the girls volleyball team, only to find out there was none because there was lack of interest in volleyball among the girls at that school.

Judy, who was trying out for team manager, brought the coach for the boy's team into the office.

Eventually everyone had agreed if Y/n was able to cooperate with the team and manage to keep up with their skill level, she was aloud to join.

Ever since the agreement, not only was she a great friend to the boys in the team, but single handedly, proved her skills were far over the others in only one practice.

Of course she did have an issue with one of the members, considering he was in her class and the two did nothing but argue all day.. Judy had at least kept the two from attacking one another for years to come...

The shorter ginger only stopped after finding out junior year that the guy had a one sided, in denial crush on Y/n.

"You scared?" He asked her as the team stared anxiously at the large school in front of them.

Now the small 'family' as the coach called them, stood in front of one of the most powerful schools in the town.

Although old members gone after graduation, strong ones had joined that year too...

Y/n was captain that year, senior year.

She never thought the day would actually come, it was so overwhelming..

The old captain depended on her for years, calling her the future backbone of the team.. but really, it was him that held the name.

And now, it was Y/n's, a passing down gift that scared her each tournament they faced.

"Uhm.." She hummed back anxiously before staring back at the coach.

"We'll be fine" he smiled with a sigh, ruffling the seniors hair lightly before walking towards the doors.

"Hey.." Judy poked at her side, causing Y/' to jump slightly in her spot.

"We'll do great, ok? This team has a great captain" she whispered.

Y/n snickered softly at her mischievous, flattering words before they'd began walking.

"It has a great manager too.. and soon to be manager, you made a great teacher" Y/n smirked softly, pointing her thumb back at the small raven haired freshman in the back who'd been talking to a few others.

Judy pulled her out from the halls in excitement that year, doing her best to teach her all the amazing tasks she needed to do as a job of team manager.
