Chapter 8 - Another Devil
Its been a few days since I last saw Lucifer. I haven't been to Deathfall since Lucifer basically kicked me out his house, oh sorry, I mean CASTLE because he's the freaking PRINCE of Deathfall.
And I still wonder who that guy I bumped into on my way out was. He seemed different from Lucifer. He had kind eyes, and a sweet smile. I've never seen Lucifer smile. But, whatever, I'm done with his crap.
And because I'm done with his crap, I'm gonna go to a new bar today. A bar different from the one Lucifer usually hangs out at.
As usual, I wait for everyone to fall asleep so I can sneak into the castle's library and take the book of Deathfall.
I smile as I stand in my room, holding it in my hands. 'What would I have done without you?' I think to myself as I look at it.
I open it and enter the other realm, blah blah blah
And now I'm on feet, in the streets of Deathfall.
I don't know why, but when I'm here, I feel way more comfortable than when I'm in Northvale, its really weird. Here, I feel like I can be myself, and not pretend to be someone else.
I stop at a bar and just look at it from the outside. Death Bar is only a few blocks away... its Saturday so Lucifer is there for sure.
But... no, I shouldn't go.
I enter this new bar and look around. The aura here is a bit different from Death Bar, the music is less intense, the room is brighter, people seem to be really enjoying themselves.
I take a seat on the bar, "Excuse me, can I have a water please?" I ask the bartender. I don't feel like drinking anything, I'll feel weird if I drink by myself.
"And I'll take a beer, please." a guy beside me says. I haven't noticed him here at all, and his voice is kind of familiar.
I look at him and quickly realize who he is, he's the guy I bumped into at Lucifer's house! I think his name was Damon.
Frankly, he has a face that can't be forgotten. Blond hair, brown eyes, he's really so handsome.
"O-Oh, Damon, is it?" I nervously ask. UGH, I'm sure he doesn't remember me and now I'm gonna look like a freaking stalker!
"Oh, hey, Valerie, right?" he asks and smiles at me. He remembered me.
I blush and nod. That's so sweet, he remembers me.
"You remembered." I say.
"Yeah, well, I'm used to bumping into Lucifer's... acquaintances, on their way out." he says and gives an awkward smile.
Wait, what? Acquaintances? He doesn't mean...
"Oh my god, no no no, I know what you're thinking and you've gotten this all wrong. I'm not one of those girls Lucifer..." I start saying and frown, thinking about how Lucifer brings girls to his house everyday...
"Oh, well, I'm sorry, I just thought-" Damon starts saying.
"No, don't be, can't blame you." I say and laugh awkwardly. "So how do you know Lucifer?" I ask.
"You don't know? We're brothers. But I'm the younger one, I'm 21." he answers and my mind is just trying to comprehend what he just said.
"B-Brothers? Are you serious? You're nothing alike!"
He laughs, "I get that a lot."
"I don't just mean by appearance, I mean like... in everything! Lucifer is so mean and rude, and you're just so kind and sweet and-"
