Soon enough everyone's at the table eating when a buzz comes out of the bag in the background which Roxanne brought on the trip.
"Is that your phone?" Louis asks startling all his cousins.
Roxanne goes over to the couch and fishes the phone out of the bag which had time powder everywhere on the inside
"Its uncle Harry," She says in shock as everyone has looks of surprise in their eyes
"Answer it," Lucy says and Roxanne complies
——————————————————————————————————————
"Hello?" Roxanne says, her voice was shaking, filled with tentative hope
"Roxanne?" A worried voice could be heard from over the phone.
"U-uncle Harry?" Roxanne stammers
"Roxanne! Guys, I contacted them" Harry yells the last part away from the phone.
"Where are you?" Ginny who took snatched the phone from her husband asked.
"The past. Uncle Harry's 5th year to be exact, well before it started but you get my point" Roxanne said trying not to ramble, her voice shaking.
There is a tentative silence but they soon hear Ginny saying "We are going to find a way to get you all back, don't worry. Now there are some very worried parents, me especially who want to talk to their kids."
Roxanne laughed and handed the phone to Lily
"Mommy!!" The 11-year-old screamed gleefully
"Hi baby, how are you?" Ginny said worriedly
"I'm fine mommy, don't worry! Technically I still have you, well younger you but it's still you!" Lily exclaimed as younger Ginny blushed
"I'm sure she is darling, can you please give the phone to James?" Ginny asked anxious to talk to the rest of her kids as well
Lily handed the phone to her brother who had a similar conversation with Ginny as Lily did.
The phone was being passed around constantly and after all the parents had talked to their kids and made sure they were alright, they vowed to come and get them and told them to be safe and thanked their older selves and the other people in the room for taking care of their children.
After a chorus of 'no problems' from the past generation was heard the phone call ended
Mrs Weasley said "Well, its ok! You all can go home soon"
And a huge cheer was heard after that last sentence from the next generation.
That day was spent playing Quidditch because as soon as Harry and Sirius discovered that most of them played Quidditch on their house teams they basically dragged them outside to the hidden pitch to play.
The whole afternoon was spent with people screaming, cursing, yelling, and all in all enjoying themselves.
Meanwhile, Lily and Louis who enjoyed cooking persuaded their grandmother to let them make cookies in the kitchen along with Ron who decided to spend time getting to know his niece and nephew with the excuse of monitoring them. Mrs. Weasley agreed and then headed up to bed to rest as it had been a hectic day for her
"So..." Ron started while mixing the batter for cookies and then laughed at the tense look both Lily and Louis gave him
"Don't worry I'm not gonna ask any questions on how we won the war or anything" Lily and Louis visibly relaxed after hearing this
"I was going to ask how Hogwarts changed from when we went there?" Ron asked with a mischievous glint in his eyes
Louis's eyes immediately lit up as he started rambling "There is a running joke that since none of you three go to Hogwarts exams are finally a thing. Professor McGonagall or Minnie as James calls her still teaches us transfiguration but she's more of like a second grandmother to most of us since she seems to have a sweet spot for us, but don't get me wrong she's as scary as aunt Hermione when she's mad"
Ron laughed at his nephew's antics while getting out some chocolate chips. Lily, meanwhile took over the story as she mixed the batter "Also, Oliver Wood got into a pretty famous professional Quidditch team but now he replaced Madame Hooch and you should see him during matches he's more worried than the team playing"
"I remember when Oliver was captain, blimey, Harry used to come into our dorm room every day and talk about how crazy Oliver was" Ron chuckled reminiscing
And the trio kept on talking about pranks they pulled, and memories in general and soon enough the cookies were done and were put in a jar to cool down.
"You guys definitely take over your parents. Maybe tonight we should all gather up and exchange stories" Ron suggested while Lily and Louis expressed their agreement happily.
They headed outside where they found that Rose, Hugo, and Albus were huddled around Harry and Hermione talking intently while James was talking to Fred, George and Sirius and Louis rushed to join their conversation having seen the mischievous look on each of the infamous prankster's faces
Lily went with Roxanne who was talking to Ginny. She saw Teddy on the other end of the Quidditch pitch who was unsurprisingly was bonding with his parents
Everyone had a content look on his or her face and when Mrs. Weasley came down she smiled in delight when she saw everyone bonding.
In a few minutes, Ron headed to the kitchen followed by Lily and Louis and they got out the cookies and set them on a plate. They made sure to make a lot since they all knew how many people there were and how their stomachs were basically endless pits.
They put the massive pile of cookies was put on the table and sure enough, they were gone in the blink of an eye. The family all gathered together and spent the whole night telling stories unaware of the evil lurking just outside their home watching with greedy eyes.
