Chapter 7| Bonding? More like Bound

The family all gathered together and spent the whole night telling stories unaware of the evil lurking just outside their home watching with greedy eyes

All of the younger generation kids were huddled together in one room, Mrs. Weasley had sent them all to bed after the clock struck 1. They all laid in their respective rooms but ten minutes later one could hear whispers and giggles coming from an empty room Teddy had found which was also deemed safe. They had planned this in the morning, with the message passing from one member of the family to another. If Mrs. Weasley had heard them she ignored it as she said nothing, knowing that as much as the next generation considered them family, they weren't their real family and that they needed some time alone.

Soon enough there were a bunch of comfy sofas and with a little bit of magic Teddy had conjured some beanbags as well. All the cousins had sat down and immediately began rambling and talking about anything and everything. If it wasn't for the snores coming from the other resident's room one would never know that anything had changed in the family's life. It felt exactly like they were at home when all of them gathered and snuck to the attic in whomever's house they were and talked till the sun came up before sneaking into their bedrooms. They all felt content and for the first time hopeful.

They all talked about what they would do as soon as they would be home. Chants of Netflix, Quidditch, and such were heard throughout the crowd. While all of them felt at peace Lily felt that something was off with the night. She didn't know if she was being paranoid due to all the changes that had happened or if her worrying was justified she chose to not dwell on it and live in the moment.

The clock struck 4 am and from the window, everyone could see the sun starting to come up.

Teddy stood up deciding that if they didn't go to bed now, Mrs. Weasley would strangle them in the morning. He began to speak in a hushed voice said "I think it time to go back to our r-" but before he could finish the sound of a lock being clicked was heard and everyone got up abruptly with wands in their hands unsure whether the Weasley twins were playing a prank or if the room was not as safe as they believed it to be. Suddenly the lamp that was burning in the middle was extinguished and exclamations could be heard throughout the room. All of a sudden there was a small ball of light shot through the window and exploded in the room when it got to the center of the room.

Teddy tried to get his younger cousins and siblings behind him but his efforts were fruitless. James, who was the closest to the door, tried to unsuccessfully bang on the door to get someone's attention but before he could he felt his legs buckle as he fell face-first into the floor. He heard a distant scream but his mind was too clouded to put a face to that voice. He started to get drowsy but before he fell asleep, his eyes caught Teddy's who was also paralyzed and lay lifelessly on the floor.

The last thing James saw was Teddy trying his best to make any sound that would alert the other members of the house of their situation. Teddys attempts, however, were in vain as he lost consciousness soon after James. As soon as everyone lost ties to the conscious world a bright white light flashed in the room and the once occupied room now stood empty.

In the morning all of the younger generations roommates noticed that they were missing

Ginny hurriedly rushed into Ron and Harry's room and woke Ron up, which in turn woke Harry up.

"Guys, I can't find any of the younger... " Ginny started but Ron interrupted her not willing to hear his sister's frantic voice first thing in the morning.

"Calm down Gin, they went into some spare room last night for some bonding time, I heard the guys sneak out last night and they whispered how they were going to get the girls. Don't go looking for them since they are probably asleep after staying up all night."

Ginny sighed in relief and visibly relaxed and Harry pulled the sheets off himself and said

"Well, I'm up now and I know I'm not getting any sleep soon so might as well head down and make breakfast" Harry tousled his hair while Ginny looked sheepish

Ron followed suit after hearing the word breakfast and he knew that Harry could cook well so who was he to give up on the offer.

Ginny decided to go about her morning routine as she knew the boys were going to and then head down to breakfast. It would be nice for a change to not fight for food at the table. She also made a mental note to warn her mom to save some breakfast for the younger generation and to not wake them up till later. With those thoughts in mind she headed into the bathroom making sure to not wake up Hermione who she had spent the last hours of the night playing cards, she was still sound asleep. Ginny gently closed the bathroom door completely unaware of the lack of sound which usually contained sounds of someone snoring or the floor creaking while someone tossed which had become common when the younger generation had appeared.

a/n when this was written: short chapter? Hehehe well lemme tell u I wrote this as soooon as I finished the last chap cuz I opened my Wattpad and I saw tht I only needed 4 more till 700 and I decided to write this as a present. tehehehe. I warned u guys stuff would be happening and now it is, believe me when I said I was wondering who I was gonna take away cuz originally I wanted it to be a kid and an older generation person but this idea popped soooo hehe. Please gimme ur thought u know I love hearing from my lovely readers. I love u all sooo muchhhh

Current a/n: this was too rushed... right? Editing was hellll because it was realllyyyy fast paced before this. I would have to rewrite the chapter to actually fix it but I have tutoring in like 15 minutes so probably not the best option 0.0. This was written in the literal beginning of the pandemic and just... damn... anywayssss hope u enjoyed this chapter!!!
