  "Ma", Habeeb was saying to Ameedah's mum. Can I take Ameedah out for few hours.
"Hmmm, your wedding preparation has started and the couple should not be seen together again until after the wedding", Ameedah's mum answered though she was only teasing him.

  Ameedah hasn't really been herself since she returned from Osun state and Habeeb knew what the reason was that's why he wants to take her out at least to cheer her up a little.

" Please ma'am, let me take her, I promise we won't stay long".

"Alright fine, she's in her room", she replied.

" Thanks a lot ma'am",Habeeb said hugging her and walked up to Ameedah's room.

Habeeb knocked when he got to the door of her room.
"Yes, come in",Ameedah said.
Ohhh, Habeeb, why are you here, she asked plainly without vigour.
" Ameedah, come on, I've apologised,I'm sorry by the way you're my wife so..
"Please Habeeb, she cut him off, I do not want to talk about it as I asked earlier why are you here".
"Okay, I came here to take you out", he said.
"Who",  she replied sarcastically.
"You naa, who else please let's just go out, you need to have fun", Habeeb said.
"Hmm, I'm not going anywhere", she responded.
"Ameedah, stop being so stubborn please", Habeeb pleaded.
"Fine, let me get dressed", she said and stood up from her bed.

                  ****
  They both had a nice time and they were walking towards Habeeb's parked car, Ameedah was no longer angry with him and the both of them were very happy.
Ameedah was about to enter the car when Habeeb suddenly turned and sighted a gun aimed at Ameedah at a distance.
He ran as fast as his body could carry and he took the bullet.
He hugged her and the bullet hit him at the back of his head very close to his neck. Ameedah was even wondering why he hugged her like that from the back not until she heard him groaning and turned while he was still holding unto her tightly then she saw he was gradually losing consciousness , she was so shocked as she didn't even know what happened she then touched his face together with the back of his head then she saw blood.
She didn't know when tears started rolling down her eyes. She helped him slowly and finally he was seated at the back and she drove speedily to the hospital.

  She informed Habeeb's parents and her parents and they were all on their way to the hospital.

"Take him to the operation theatre, we need to remove the bullet", the doctor said.
"Ma,I'm also a certified nurse, can I assist please", Ameedah replied in tears.
"You can't assist us, your condition isn't so good", Doctor Bola replied.
"Nah, I'm fine", Ameedah replied.
She wiped her tears ad washed her face and soon she changed her wears and joined them in the theatre.

  Both families have arrived and they were told Ameedah was in the theatre with Habeeb, they couldn't help panicking.

  Finally, the bullet was removed but they couldn't say anything else until he is conscious again.

Everyone hugged Ameedah and she explained how it all happened they calmed her and told her everything will be fine.
  Habeeb was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for special monitoring till he regains consciousness.

  Ameedah met with the doctor and asked her few questions concerning Habeeb.
"Ma'am, the penetration wasn't too deep but was also deep to an extent, hope he'll be fine", Ameedah asked.
"He should be fine but it might just take time, he didn't really lose blood and that helped him however the point the bullet hit might affect his memory", she stated.
"What", Ameedah said amidst tears again.
"Yes, I can't say any other thing again, let's just hope he regains consciousness soon because if he regains then half of the work is left", the doctor said to her.
"Thank you doctor", she finally said before exiting the office.

Lateefah saw her and calmed her down.
" Habeeb will be fine please relax",Sayidah also said even though she was also in tears.

"I wish we didn't eventually go out, I wish...I wish we were still together at my place and didn't go out at all", Ameedah said.

"The attacker would have done it some other time so please stop blaming yourself, just pray Habeeb gets well", Lateefah said and Sayidah agreed.

"And this attacker, what does he wants, who sent him and you know what, he actually targeted me but Habeeb saved me again", she said.

"And now you also have to save him so please be strong Ameedah", Sayidah said and hugged her.
  She nodded.

" Are you mad," Nawal said as she slapped the man tightly.
I said you should kill the lady but instead you killed the love of my life, are you sick", she continued and slapped him hard again.
You killed the man I want to be with and the one I told you to kill is now free, you see how stupid you're ", she said in anger and landed him another slap.

" Ma'am, I'm sorry, I was about to kill her but he stepped in from nowhere," he answered.

"And is that an excuse, you're just so useless," Nawal said almost in tears.
she was really pained. "Now I regret this, I should never have tried to kill Ameedah in the first place," she said deeply hurt.

             ~ Four days later.~
Habeeb hasn't still regained consciousness and Ameedah was becoming impatient.
She was the only one with him at the moment. She prayed to God to spare Habeeb's life as she took his hand in hers.
She spoke to Habeeb as though he could hear and minutes into speaking with him she realized his hand moved in hers.
She wiped her tears and stared at the hand, not long afterwards it moved again, Ameedah couldn't be happier, she stood up from the chair and sent a nurse to get the doctor.
  The doctor came in and both families walked in as well, they were all happy.
Habeeb removed the oxygen mask and stared at everyone, he called out to his mum, dad and sister, he greeted Ameedah's parent as well.

"Mum, who's she?", he asked pointing at Ameedah.

" What!!!".
