When I woke up I couldn't feel my toes and my back was sore. I felt so weak. As if someone actually took the energy out my body and left my empty corpse. I opened my bag and grabbed a bottle of water then press it to my dry lips. The water was now warm but it helped soothe my throat which was sore from crying.
How could he kick me out of my home? How could the ones meant to protect me leave me when I needed them the most? I have nothing. Sure I have a bag with food, clothes and necessaries but what can I do with that? I held my stomach protectively. I wonder if it's a girl or boy. Will it look like me or Ryan?
Hopefully me.
I stood up exiting the alley. I don't know how, but I'm going to get to Las Angles if it's the last thing I do.
Looking from left to right I thought, which way should I go? Where am I? Looking at the nearest street sign, I estimated that I was at least twenty miles away from my house. How did I get this far? Oh well, I refuse to cry anymore and will not mope around. I am going to be a mother soon and need to learn how to take care of myself. I decided to go left. I know there is a motel nearby and I can stay one night for around eighty dollars.
That's what I'm talking about Victoria, you can do this.
I never been on this side of California.
Everyone looked so alone. By looking at their eyes you could tell they each had a story. Do I look like that? "Aye lil ma!" Some guy with sagging pants and a hat backwards hollered. He was surrounded by at least five others.
I put my hood up and looked down, praying he would leave me alone. "She from the otherside, yo. She think she too good for us." One of his friends said. 'No, I didn't think that I just want to protect my baby and lay down', I thought.
"I say we teach her some manners." Another said and I think my heart skipped a beat as they begin to follow me. This can't be happening right now! I quicken my speed as I turn a corner. Now I was really lost.
When I heard the sound of feet thumping against the pavement I soon started to run. My hood fell down and my golden locks where blowing in the wind as I feared for my baby's life. I didn't really care about my life I just cared about my child's. He or she didn't do anything wrong.
A pair of hands came around my waist and I screamed, shocked because I didn't noticed they caught up so fast and scared of what they would do to me. The guy who first yelled at me threw me against the brick wall behind me and put his hands on each sides of my face locking me in. He leaned in, "So, you can't speak?" He said with a smirk, "Cat got your tongue?" He asked and his followers laughed.
In the movies, this is when the girl spits in the guy's face and tells him to fuck off. Sadly, I wasn't so reckless.
"I-I'm s-sorry, sir." Was my courageous response.
The guy and his followers laughed at me. "You got jokes I see." The guy said putting both his hands on my hips pulling me closer to him. "I like girls who can entertain me." The look in his eyes told me his words had a double meeting.
I scrunched my face up in pure disgust. "I'm not that type of girl sorry." I said trying to get loose. He only tightened his grip.
"Did I ask you?" The once calm man said in a low growl. I shuck my head as my eyes grew big in fear. I didn't want any troubles. "Good, now be a good girl and show daddy a show or cough up some dough." He said, his voice turning back to normal.
My eyes began to water as I dugged in my pocket. I gave him two hundred bills. Him and his followers eyes widen in shock of how much I gave him. "Please leave me alone now." I said in a high pitched voice.
